At Amazon Logistics we are building a world class last mile operation, significantly complimented by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors, called Delivery Partners (DPs), to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss, set their own schedule and deliver Amazon packages. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in tandem with our advanced logistics systems to allow delivery partners to register for the program, schedule delivery times, make deliveries utilizing in-app mapping and navigation, and more. The approach and technology promise to challenge traditional approaches, and change the way the industry operates.

The Engagement Marketing Manager will own developing overall marking strategies to improve DP(Delivery Partners) engagement through data driven approach, improving an end-to-end marketing journey map, and executing initiatives to retain DPs in our program through multiple communication channels such as email, mobile app, 1×1 outbound call and potentially offline event space. The ideal candidate for this role will be a proven data-driven, creative, strategic thinker who knows how to grow a business by employing marketing strategies that improve engagement and retention. He or she will need the demonstrated ability to use data, creative thinking and innovation. This will include incentive campaign execution for delivery partners, finding an opportunity areas to drive engagement of delivery partners and executing the new ideas/plans from the scratch. Responsibilities will also include analyzing the results of campaign performance, handling AB testing to maximize the campaign impact, pushing through marketing automation and analyzing data to find a business opportunity.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop overall marketing strategy and improve journey map with goal of driving delivery partner engagement and retention, based on analytics and insights
  • Manage/Oversee 1×1 outbound call strategies/channel by collaborating with internal team
  • Potentially manage/oversee offline event space to drive delivery partner engagement
  • Identify targeted strategies across our driver partner file focused on high value action indicators to enable more relevant and personalized offers and experiences
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources
  • Work with stakeholders to evaluate and drive business decisions in an ambiguous environment, including legal, PR, and operations partners
  • Monitor key quality metrics, define and implement initiatives to drive improvements
  • A program management oriented mindset and the ability to be comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading and has the ability to “roll up their sleeves” and jump in if needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Fluent in Japanese, business level of English (verbal & written)
  • 5+ years in marketing management
  • 2+ years of Online marketing experience & knowledge
  • Experience using SQL / ETL (beginner level is fine)
  • 2+ years of experience in problem-solving using data and analytics to drive business decisions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Team player who is willing to cooperate with team members and internal/external business partners
  • Passion for metrics and quantitative analysis, and ability to turn analysis into actionable programs
  • Experience with Marketing Automation tools
  • Experience and interest in using Tableau, Python in a business environment
  • Track record of being highly organized, with ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with autonomy
  • Complex problem-solver with strategic thinking, business acumen and ability to find new creative ways to optimize performance
  • Not afraid to try new things; driven to constantly improve results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to build relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, deadline-oriented work environment
  • Excited about working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture
