Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Senior Partner Marketing Manager to build awareness, create demand, and drive revenue with a select group of strategic ISVs. We are building a new team and discipline with an enhanced focus on converting co-marketing generated leads to joint revenue attainment. In this Senior Partner Marketing Manager role, you will develop and nurture co-marketing partnerships with ISVs in order to: drive differentiated brand awareness; acquire new customers; and grow existing customers for solutions which run on AWS. You will also educate the partner on AWS marketing tools, resources and available AWS funding programs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working at or with partners including ISVs, SIs, or Resellers with a proven track record of driving measurable business impact for partners through joint demand generation activities. Ability to define customer outreach tactics aligned to the ISV sales and marketing goals is critical along with the data-driven performance management skills. You should be detail-oriented and organized, capable of handling multiple projects at once, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity. A solid understanding of cloud concepts and the cloud market landscape is also important.

Key Responsibilities:
• Define and execute “best-in-class” co-marketing plans with strategic ISVs to effectively drive awareness and adoption of ISV solutions that run on AWS.
• Oversee ISVs demand generation campaigns to generate a healthy marketing driven sales funnel including leads, opportunities, pipeline, and wins.
• Develop campaign project plans, including: goals, messaging, calls to action, marketing channels, lead nurture strategies, and joint success metrics.
• Gain the sponsorship and commitment of senior ISV leaders, to align resources and execute co-marketing plan with AWS.
• Secure ISV commitment to drive execution of joint and ISV-led co-marketing activities in support of ISVs revenue goals with AWS.
• Work closely with AWS Product Marketing, Field Marketing, and Partner Development Managers to identify priorities and ISV marketing initiatives.
• Define success metrics for joint campaigns with ISVs and track results across all stages of the sales funnel including leads, opportunities, pipeline, and wins.
• Champion a “test and learn” approach to increase yield, manage partner MDF budgettracking return on marketing investment (ROI) and ISV’s success.
• Be an advocate of ISVs inside of AWS organization and assist in progressively improving marketing contribution to the ISV’s business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS in marketing, business, computer science or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of business-to-business relevant field marketing, channel marketing or product marketing experience within the high-technology industry
• 5+ years hands-on experience in channel marketing or business development designing and executing results based joint marketing plans in support of strategic partnerships

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, developing business plans and executing joint marketing strategies with ISVs, Resellers, or SIs for cloud services or software enterprise preferred
• Deep understanding of and experience managing marketing and sales lead funnels, from leads to revenue.
• Excel at cross-group collaboration, creative thinking, problem solving and have a bias for action.
• Motivated self-starter who thrives on working in complex and challenging environments of a rapidly evolving business.
• Analytical tendencies with a natural curiosity to measure, test, learn and iterate in order to get the best results possible.
• Proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of delivering long-term growth ideas.
• Written and verbal communication skills with an innate attention to detail. Project management skills with experience gaining consensus and driving deliverables with stakeholders inside and outside the organization.
• Willing to travel to meet with partners, sales leaders and attend events.

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $118k – 160k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
