The AWS Worldwide Revenue Operations Customer Relationship Management (WWRO CRM) team is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Senior Technical Program Manager to join our security and compliance team.

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager on the Security and Compliance team, you’ll have a unique opportunity to innovate in the security space of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Salesforce. You will execute programs and security campaigns to raise the security bar across a fleet of Salesforce instances and support a wide spectrum of use cases. Responsibilities include in driving product improvements to automate security assessment the collection of business and systems requirements from customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch. You will make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time, goals, customer impact and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional teams.

The right candidate will possess a strong technical program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background. As a Technical Program Manager, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. Location: This role is open to any corporate office in North America including locations in: Seattle, WA; Dallas, TX; Charleston, SC; Austin, TX; Boston, MA; Jersey City, NJ; Atlanta, GA; Arlington, VA. Relocation offered from within the US to any of these locations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership by facilitating solution/design/architectural discussions; find and research ways to utilize AWS tools and Salesforce Platform to improve security.
  • Provide expertise on capacity management, level-of-effort estimation, task tracking and assignment.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to define security related deliverables, roadmaps, accompanying documentation for projects and programs.
  • Work with a cross-functional scrum teams to deliver projects in iterative release cycles.
  • Identify, anticipate, assess, track and mitigate issues, risks, roadblocks and escalations at multiple levels.
  • Create, maintain, and communicate project status to stakeholders

A day in the life
You will operate with high autonomy owning security campaigns and bar-raising initiatives. This role has a high level of discretion to own and move projects forward to meet target dates you define. As a team, we manage approvals for data access and significant configuration changes to the system. Although not daily, this role will play a significant role in addressing those consultations. You will own the definition of success metrics for your projects and the weekly status reporting.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or 3+ years equivalent experience in a technical field
  • 5+ years of industry experience in developing software or services
  • 5+ years experience in program management or equivalent experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced/Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or other CRM related technologies.
  • Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
  • Experience working with technology and security leadership to articulate security and or compliance strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
