Mission Operations within Space’s Engineering & Technology – S2CO has an opening for an energetic Multi-Functional Engineering & Science Senior Manager to lead the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) team as the Lockheed Martin Site Lead. The selected candidate will also be the functional leadership of the CLS, Flight Operations Support (FOS) and Contractor Operations Support (KOS) groups. The selected candidate will reside at Buckley Space Force Base with a geographically distributed team locate at BSFB and other customer locations. The selected candidate will be provide support to Program Management business rhythms and related new business activities and is responsible for ensuring the timely staffing of all Lockheed Martin positions, ensuring all leaders are actively engaging with their teams, developing plan to ensure talent development and effective communicating the customer’s desire to the team. With this position residing within E&T – Mission Operations the selected candidate will also be responsible for the effectively communication, collaboration and partnering with the other Mission Operations leaders to ensure Mission Operations successfully meets both functional and Line of Business (LOB) technical and business goals and objectives.

The selected candidate will have demonstrated a strong oral and written communication skills, commitment and adherence to the Lockheed Martin Core Values and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and have a history of team building, collaboration, and customer relationship management with minimum management oversight.

The position roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Technical and/or Project leadership and planning
• Talent assessment and development consistent with Lockheed Martin Human Resource processes and practices, including the management and development of team leads, associate managers, and individual contributors
• Workforce planning and implementation – including assigning the appropriately skilled/capable resources to programs, projects and other business initiatives (consistent with budget constraints); forecasting current and future staffing needs/requirements and developing roll-off plans;
• Dissemination of company information in a professional and timely fashion
• Enforcement of company and government policies and procedures and regulations
• Development and administration of employee performance assessments, salary adjustments and promotions in accordance with Lockheed Martin Policy and Compensation Philosophy.
• Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams

Basic Qualifications:
• OPIR or other National Security Space Program Experience
• Demonstrated experience managing large teams in a dynamic operational environment working with OPS Site Customer Leadership
• Demonstrated Satellite Ground System Sustainment experience
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written with the proven ability to communicate to all levels internally and externally.
• Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex and large-scale technical issues/challenges.
• Demonstrated experience in developing technical talent and building pipelines to sustain technical expertise within the organization.
• Ability to motivate teams in a matrix environment in multiple locations
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal/team skills
• Active TS/SCI w/poly security clearance
