AWS is seeking a Worldwide (WW) Go-to-Market (GTM) Specialist to help accelerate our VMware Cloud on AWS workloads business. The WW GTM Specialist will develop solutions, offerings, and programs that address customer and partner needs for Windows workloads migrations, and lead programs and activities that accelerate customer adoption and support sales acceleration. This highly motivated person will collaborate and coordinate cross-functional teams to develop, pilot and orchestrate execution of key strategies and programs. You will also work across our teams to assemble compelling evidence for customers and engage and support of new lighthouse and broader customer engagements. This person will possess a business and IT background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the senior level leaders of large enterprises, partners and internally. You will have the technical depth and business experience to articulate the value proposition of running enterprise workloads on the VMware Cloud on AWS to customer decision makers. This person will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically long-term about the needs of complex global businesses, while executing in the short term to deliver results and capture data that helps optimize return on investment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
-Develop enablement programs and initiatives to support the generation of partner-sourced pipeline in collaboration with Marketing and other cross-functional stakeholders.

-Own launch process for new VMC on AWS services. Including messaging, training, and content deliverables.

-Manage enablement programming across marque marketing events and build and execute a plan to enable VMC on AWS specialists, AWS Sales, and channel partners to consistently and globally leverage VMC marketing content and offers.

-Activate go-to-market (GTM) support (messaging, content, and offers) for our priority mid-market solutions.

-Collaborate with Marketing and others, ensure consistent, global access for Specialists, Sales, and Partners to content and offers.

-Work closely with the Specialist teams, Sales, and the Partner team to assess and support their enablement needs and ensure proper landing and execution of new VMC on AWS solutions and priorities globally.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, and/or program/product management experience with national and/or international scope
  • 5-10+ years selling or driving partnerships and programs around cloud, hosted and managed services in technology industry
  • 5+ years’ experience selling enterprise datacenter and/or application technologies, preferably cloud based

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 and/or Global 2000 organizations
  • Experience working with VMware based solutions preferred
  • Experience with cloud computing and or related fields (IT, software, etc)
  • Complex agreement negotiation skills and experience, and business and financial acumen
  • Strong analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data analysis into useful strategic insight in order to drive customer adoption and make appropriate recommendations to the business
  • Ability to develop business justifications for cloud technology roadmap adoption
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • MBA or equivalent relevant business experience
  • Experience conducting customer feedback and market research analytics
  • 20-25% travel, as necessary

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $120,000- 160,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
