What You Will Do

Directs the planning, coordination, and successful deployments of Continuous Improvement & Integration (CI&I) projects and enhancements for the GAD-Corporate Functions applications across all Stryker divisions, functions, and regions. Coordinates and aligns CI&I projects with other Stryker Enterprise Platform teams, Commercial, Digital Manufacturing, M&A, etc. Works closely with IT Business Partners, Enterprise Architecture, PMO, Solutions Leads, Global Process Owners, Stryker IT teams and System Integrator(s), to drive the Corporate Functions integrated solutions through end-to-end delivery. Works closely with System Integrator(s) to ensure alignment of key technical project activities and milestones for efficient solution delivery. Oversees and ensures completion of all technical program cut-over activities. Drives informed decision making for large cross-functional IT projects.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  • Perform activities following Stryker’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and processes
  • Defines an effective technical deployment framework which can be leveraged across all Corporate Functions programs, projects and associated cross functional projects
  • Coordinates technical deployment plans for Corporate Functions programs across Stryker divisions, functions, and regions aligning releases with associated and parallel programs and eco system projects
  • Ensures that technical delivery plans are aligned with platform release calendars, overall project/program plans, and technical dependencies with other projects are accounted for
  • Manages and coordinates with external suppliers and technical partners to ensure they meet their contracted solution deliverables, agreed upon quality, and metrics
  • Works cross-functionally to align all necessary technical resources to deliver successful projects
  • Partners with solution delivery teams (solution leads, solutions architects, Middleware, etc), GIO organization, PMO, and supplier staff to ensure technical solutions are delivered to Stryker standards for Corporate Functions applications and solutions
  • Partner with the other GAD teams to ensure the integration and technical scope is managed
  • Establishes and drives efficient release coordination and collaboration with other Global Application Delivery teams on cross functional Enterprise Global programs, projects, and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Working with PMO, Delivery Leads, Process Leads, and Change management, develop standards, tools, and systems to manage the technical deployment of the Corporate Functions products effectively and efficiently across Stryker divisions, functions, and regions
  • Participates in early solution planning to ensure key technical roles and cost estimates are properly accounted for in the planning and scoping of new projects
  • Establishes technical delivery standards for solutions and applications
  • Works closely with IS Service Delivery teams to ensure implementation of post-production support model and processes
  • Ensures timely escalation and mitigation of delivery and technical issues and risks to ensure smooth deployment process
  • Partners with the IS Governance team to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, standards, procedures, and associated documentation including but not limited to computer systems validation, SOX 404, and PM standards
  • Provides feedback on “lessons learned” after each technical deployment to continuously improve the deployment process over the course of the program
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other Solution Managers, Solution Leads and Solution Analysts within the team or same project/program
  • Manages the HR designated tasks for the people within their team
  • Financial focus on delivering activities on budget, leveraging time on value-driven activities and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables.
  • Special projects/assignments as required.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in the areas of Computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field of study required.
  • Master’s degree in MIS, MBA or related disciplines preferred
  • Minimum 13 years of professional experience required, with at least 10 years deploying or delivering complex Enterprise Solutions.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience
  • Prior experience and demonstrated understanding of Corporate Functions or other complex business solutions with direct experience in global system rollouts required
  • Prior experience and demonstrated understanding of complex technical design and solution integration
  • Experienced in enterprise solution methodologies, preferably in both traditional waterfall and agile approaches preferred
  • International experience and/or exposure working in other business functions preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean, ITIL, Agile, Scrum, etc. standards and processes preferred
