Youwill be working in the Electrical Products business within Siemens SmartInfrastructure – a global supplier of products and solutions for low voltage motorcontrol and power distribution networks used in industrial applications,utilities and smart buildings.

Weare recruiting candidates to join our Product Marketing apprenticeship schemewho want to make a difference and develop their skills in Product Marketingalongside the development of their technical understanding of the ElectricalProducts portfolio.

The Challenge:

Part of being an apprentice at Siemens means you get to workon real life projects whilst also being supported on a guided learning journey.This will be a 3 year apprenticeship where you will be put onto the Level 4 MarketingExecutive standard.

Here is how theprogramme works:

  • Years 1-3: Following your off-site induction week you will immediately begin integrating into the Siemens community you will embark on a broad range of tasks within Electrical Products based primarily in our Head Office in Manchester though there may be travel to other sites and elements of home working.
  • You will continue to develop a breadth of knowledge in the Electrical Products portfolio of products and services in order to competently specify electrical engineering solutions which will satisfy customer requirements.
  • You will work on your apprenticeship standard which, in conjunction with your on the job learning, will help you develop your sales and marketing skills.
  • You will develop your technical skills alongside your negotiation / relationship building skills and commercial acumen throughout the learning journey.
  • You will also undertake your apprenticeship End Point Assessment in your final year.

Your learning will be supported throughout your programme by Siemensmentors and by one of our training partners who will be the apprenticeshipprovider.

  • Contributeto the success of the Electrical Products business by:
  • Undertakingproduct training on Low Voltage Control and Switchgear systems (along withwider automation and distribution systems).
  • Marketing of the Electrical Products portfolio
  • Being responsiblefor the product lifecycle management of aspects of the product portfolioincluding market launch, pricing, promotion, marketing, technical and salessupport etc.
  • Ensuring the success of the Salesprocess and a positive customer experience through development of customerrelationships, building trust and confidence in the organisation’s capabilitiesthrough demonstration of detailed product knowledge, competitor knowledge andan understanding of the market in which they operate.
  • Being an ambassador for the Siemens brand and ourvalues.
  • Identification and implementation of business improvements.

The Candidate:

Thisapprenticeship requires a blend of disciplines and the ideal candidate willhave a keen interest in electrical engineering and is also looking to developin a role which will not only challenge them technically but also develop theirsales and marketing skills with a view to becoming a Product MarketingExecutive.

Minimum EducationalRequirements:

You will have achieved at least 5 GCSE’s grade 4 or aboveincluding Maths and English Language and you will have achieved or be on trackto achieve 3 A Levels (or a Level 3 BTEC) at grade B or above, one of whichmust be a numerate subject.
