This role involves data structuring, validation, and methodological refinement to support economic analysis and policy-making. – Compile, structure, and analyze economic data for Supply-Use Tables (SUTs)
– Ensure accurate data entry and classification using up-to-date economic standards
– Validate data and ensure consistency with national accounts methodologies
– Support the development and validation of Input-Output Tables (IOTs) to analyze industry economic flows
– Conduct sensitivity analysis to verify the reliability of input-output models
– Perform in-depth statistical analysis to improve data accuracy and completeness
– Prepare reports detailing methodologies, assumptions, and data sources used in table development
– Provide recommendations for improving data quality and statistical proceduresSpecific Activities
– Identify data gaps and recommend strategies for data collection
– Organize data into structured databases and develop infrastructure for efficient processing
– Develop classification frameworks and balancing methodologies for economic data
– Assist in processing source data, generating load file templates, and harmonizing classification codes
– Estimate margins, taxes, and subsidies by product while conducting product-by-product balancing
– Convert Supply-Use Tables from purchasers\’ prices to basic prices and contribute to Input-Output Table development
– Assist in documentation, finalizing analytical reports, and preparing data for disseminationRequired Skills and ExperienceEducation & Certifications
– Bachelor\’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related fieldExperience
– Proven experience in compiling and analyzing economic data, particularly in SUTs and IOTs
– Strong background in national accounts, economic modeling, and statistical methodologies
– Experience in working with large datasets and structuring economic databasesTechnical Skills
– Expertise in data analysis, economic modeling, and statistical balancing techniques
– Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, or other data processing software
