You’ll get to learn about our company’s functions and operations, and you’ll support our management team with daily tasks. Throughout, you will develop strong problem-solving, communication and people management skills. Additionally, you will participate in formal training courses.This trainee program is designed to fast-track the development of high-potential young individuals and prepare them for future leadership positions within the Sika organization. Development components shall include: rotational assignments including cross country projects/training/seminars; mentorship to help navigate daily challenges; formal training sessions/ workshops/seminars to develop essential skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management; Job rotation & project deployment to gain hands-on experience and apply the skills and knowledge in a practical setting; networking to expand professional connections; and opportunity to work and be coached by Sika Senior Managers.If this opportunity excites you, we’d like to hear from you!What does the management trainee do?The “Digital Transformation” engineer trainee will play an important and critical role in our operations organization to achieve the transition from rather manual operated factories to fully automated and digitalized production plants which are integrated into the various business systems such as Scada, MES, WMS, ERP (S4/Hana). The trainee will work on various digitalization projects e.g. ESG data collection, MES implementation and more. The trainee will be a key contributor to the digitalization of Operations.You will gain exposure and experience in:Participate in the digitalization of our manufacturing lines.Willingness to learn and understand the manufacturing procedures and the PLCs that drive the production.Get familiar with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the production lines. Learn about the equipment efficiencies.Effective Communication to understand different functional teams (There will be interaction with different teams such as production, maintenance, quality, warehouse, process engineering, supply chain, etc.)Completing all assigned tasks and assisting with day-to-day operations.Participating in meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities.Participate in company’s strategic planningCreate and give presentationsObserving and learning from experienced staff members.Gaining knowledge of company policies, protocols, and processes.QualificationsBachelor’s or master’s degree in Automation, IT, or similar2-4 years of working experience in relevant or similar capacity (as of 15 August 2024 – commencement date of Management Trainee Program 2024)Problem-Solving skills, analytical mindset.Programming Languages such Python, Java or .NET(C#), this will be beneficial for building some applications and integrating with existing systemsData Warehousing Skills: Interest in learning cloud-based data warehousing platforms like Snowflake or equivalent applications in Azure.Big Data Technologies: Understanding applications such Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven architecturesDatabase Systems: Knowledge of SQL language for querying relational databases and NoSQL languages.Cloud Platforms such Microsoft Azure for different applications such data storage, analytics and machine learning.Data Analytics tools and special libraries for this (Pandas and NumPy) and Visualization tools such PowerBI.IoT Protocols such MQTT and OPC UAData transformation tools such Apache NiFi, ETL (Extract, transform, Load) processes and toolsConfident and positive team player with eagerness to learnPassionate with a drive to succeed, and proactiveStrong command of English, and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.Excellent analytical, computational ability, problem-solving, and project management skills.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including advanced Excel skills, SQL, and familiarity with BI toolsMulticultural exposure and strong adaptability with desire for international travelThe desire to grow and develop with a company on a long-term scale
