Job description: Based at Whangarei Hospital, part time 0.8 FTE working 32 hours per week on a fixed Term basis until December 2024The role:The purpose of this role is to assist in the provision of an effective Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service, working with established Occupational Health and Wellbeing standards of practice and service objectives, to meet the needs of the organisation.Primary functions include:

  • To utilise specialist nursing knowledge and skills to provide patient focused care and coordination within a multi-disciplinary setting.
  • To provide expert clinical advice, information and education to patients, families/ Whanau and staff.
  • To lead quality improvement initiatives within the unit/department.

  • Current annual practicing certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • Level 3 or 4 Registered Nurse with 5 years’ experience with Designated Senior Nurse PDRP or Expert PDRP (demonstrating clinical examples)
  • Experience in working alongside a diverse team of people
