Who we’re looking for:
Delivering strong commercial outcomes on our projects is paramount to BMD’s sustainability. As a Contract Administrator, you will review and monitor contractual and financial matters, understanding all requirements of the head contract and other subcontractor and supplier agreements.
- You will be a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills and strong technical expertise to:
ensure the supply chain is aligned with the rights and obligations of the head contract * Lead contract negotiations
- assess and review the scope of work for total cost and requirements including key dates for project delivery
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sound commercial outcomes
- Coordinate claims and disputes
- Candidate’s must be open to working a FIFO roster (15/6)
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:
- Tertiary qualification in an appropriate engineering, quantity surveying, finance, accounting, legal or business discipline is preferable.
- two to six years’ experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
- experience leading commercial negotiations with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
