Job description: FBCG is a COVID-19 Vaccinated WorkplacePOSITION OVERVIEW:First Baptist Church of Glenarden (FBCG) is seeking a skilled and versatile IT professional to join our team as an IT VTC Technician on a casual, on-call basis (up to 10 hours per week). The IT VTC Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of video teleconferencing (VTC) systems across our campuses. This role requires flexibility in schedule, including evenings and weekends, to ensure seamless integration and consistent performance of all conferencing environments. The position supports hybrid ministry events, including Institute classes, focus studies, fellowships, and discipleship programs.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, and maintain VTC equipment and software, including cameras, microphones, and displays.
• Troubleshoot VTC hardware and software issues, providing rapid resolution to minimize downtime.
• Perform regular tests and updates on VTC systems to ensure functionality and security.
• Monitor and manage all classrooms, conference rooms, and boardrooms at all campuses.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clear communication to instructors and staff personnel.
• Develop procedures and routine best practices for providing excellent support for ministries and church business operations.
• Review and monitor Events Schedule daily to respond to last-minute changes and updates.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in IT technology and maintain knowledge of best practices for hybrid IT environments.
• Coordinate with IT team members to integrate VTC systems with existing IT infrastructure.
• Provide on-site technical support during major and minor weekend events.
• Ensure compliance with data security regulations and standards.
• Document technical procedures and user guides for system operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be saved, have a servant’s heart, and be a member, in good standing or willing to join and become a member in good standing of FBCG.
• Must be able to submit to authorities as defined by the Pastor.
• Must possess a gracious, Christ-like demeanor in demanding situations.
• Must have an understanding and appreciation for the ministry and the mission of FBCG.
• Minimum of an associate degree or 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with VTC systems and AV setups, including familiarity with products from vendors such as Cisco, Polycom, MS Teams, or Zoom.
• Certifications in networking, Cisco, or related fields are a plus.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Work performed may involve significant walking and physical effort during the installation and testing of technology.
