Events provide a powerful opportunity to engage customers, and showcase new products. The Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Events will drive the messaging strategy for global product launches at Amazon Ads’ marquee events. They will be responsible for leading the strategy and facilitating the execution of impactful launches, including on-site experiential activations that resonate with live attendees, effective virtual extensions that scale the reach of launch announcements around the globe, and coordination with PR, Analyst Relations, and other key partners to drive positive coverage. Ultimately, the objective for this role is to develop compelling launch messaging, and deliver memorable launch experiences that help our customers understand the breath and relevance of Amazon Ads’ innovative product portfolio.

This role will deliver launches that are relevant across global locales. A successful candidate will partner with cross functional leads across marketing, PR, channel partners, product, and sales to bring our new products to life.

Key job responsibilities
Spearhead the messaging strategy for Tier 1 product launches from ideation to execution, with a focus on 360 experience surrounding strategic events as a primary channel

Brainstorm, strategize, and propose event concepts and activation strategies that bring Amazon Ads’ products to life, drive memorable experiences, resonate with customers, and create measurable demand for the business.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to lead execution of live and virtual activations supporting global product launches to drive brand awareness, engagement, traffic, and revenue.

Create and update internal documents including workback schedules, DACI matrix, and status reports to ensure cross-functional and leadership alignment.

About the team
At Amazon Ads, the Product Marketing (PMM) Events Team’s mission is to deliver bar-raising solutions messaging at strategic events. We help customers better understand how our offerings can address their marketing challenges with stories told from our biggest stages.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
  • 6+ years of product marketing and/or messaging strategy experience
  • Ability to transition between high level strategic thinking and detail-oriented execution
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple partner teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A strong leader and excellent communicator who can drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs to senior executives
  • MBA and/or communications, media, marketing strategy degree
