Job Description

Job Overview

As Senior Director Global Marketing Strategic Portfolio you will play an important role as a senior transformation leader. You will be responsible for leading the strategic portfolio management process that will drive the integration of the marketing strategy, change initiative prioritization, decision making, and governance measurement. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, with a bias toward driving innovative ways to grow our business, build competitive capabilities and optimize operations.

Marketing Transformation Roadmap

  • Partner with the Marketing Leadership team to drive holistic strategic transformation roadmap to deliver business outcomes to maximize marketing impact at scale.
  • Establish a cadence for key stakeholders and sponsors to review and approve the benefits realization roadmap.
  • Drive recommendations on transformation strategy, ensure Marketing’s long-term strategic plan is aligned with and delivers on the corporate strategic plan and vision.
  • Support the long range and annual planning process in synch with the corporate budgeting process to drive the Marketing Transformation Roadmap.
  • Collaborate with other Transformation teams include Program Delivery, Business Process Excellence and Organizational Change Management to ensure a holistic People, Process, Technology and Data driven approach
  • Provide ongoing strategic views and direction on multiple initiatives while driving discipline of strategy and execution, and communication of our marketing transformation.
  • Collaborate with Analytics teams to understand trends in the business and develop insights that translate into growth recommendations.

Marketing Transformation Portfolio

  • Establish and operationalize Marketing Transformation Portfolio Prioritization Framework.
  • Build a disciplined capability of KPI identification and measurement.
  • Establish processes for monitoring and controlling progress against the benefits realization plan, including portfolio dashboards.
  • Define portfolio performance metrics and targets to measure and monitor the delivery and value of the portfolio initiatives.
  • Ensure initiatives within the portfolio remain aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Perform benefit assessments, including formally verifying that the benefits have been delivered and are being realized.
  • Present portfolio summaries and business insights to senior management to help shape key strategic business decisions and operational actions. These could include, prioritization decisions, scoping, timing, or resourcing tradeoffs.

Portfolio Governance

  • Develop, maintain, and improve key processes and tools needed to support portfolio decision-making and tracking across the portfolio, including leveraging ServiceNow’s Strategic Portfolio Management product solution, and other ServiceNow applications as beneficial.
  • Manage Risks and interdependencies and work to ensure alignment.
  • Build and implement a structured quarterly cadence for prioritization, reporting, and insights that drives discussion and action.
  • Support decision making by ensuring timely and consistent communication with stakeholders on the progress, changes, and impact of the overall portfolio (e.g. portfolio reports).
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify risks and challenges, opportunities and growth strategies, business integration needs and cross program prioritization.

Budget, Resource, & Vendor Management

  • Manage organizational budget and key vendor relationships.
  • Ensure alignment with portfolio management processes and relevant corporate process including Long Range Planning, Budgeting, and resource allocation

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in Program/Portfolio Management/Business Transformation
  • Business operations, marketing or management consulting experience at a global organization.
  • Demonstrated experience working with functions across the organization (e.g. IT, Finance, Sales).
  • Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage and influence many diverse stakeholders and team members, and gain their co-ownership of outcomes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment both collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as well as independently.
  • A self-starter with a passion for problem solving and a naturally curious mind.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in fast-paced ambiguous environment, implementing clear structures, and operational plans with attention to detail
  • Experience and passion for diving into details while also being able to connect the dots and organize efforts into themes for better coordination.
  • A passion for data and analysis, with a curiosity to get to the root of a problem and solve it.
  • Proven ability to simplify large volumes of data and information, enabling business leaders to quickly understand key priorities and risks required to action.
  • Solid understanding of basic project management, change management and business process excellence capabilities and how these work together to deliver value.

A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

Remote

A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
