In this role, you have the opportunity to

Join the Philips Oral Healthcare marketing team responsible for defending #1 Market Share position and generating continued growth of the Philips Sonicare brand; the #1 Electric toothbrush in the US, and #1 recommended by Dentists. The Consumer Marketing Manager is accountable for delivering measurable business impact (brand preference, market share, Consumer NPS and sales). You will represent the voice of our consumer and customer in the development of product roadmaps with collaborative go-to-market plans.

You are responsible for

  • Understand market performance trends to most effectively drive consumption, market share and shipments
  • Aid in the development of Yearly Business Market Combination Plan and 3 Year Strategic Plan of Record
  • Analyze consumer research, customer research, channel trends, current market conditions and competitor information to unlock new insights that will drive competitive advantage
  • Be an integral part of the biggest Business Market Combination team working with the Global Upstream colleagues to ensure that innovations are relevant to North American Consumer
  • Help craft the long term North American Innovation Roadmap
  • Collaborate with the Global Marketing team to develop winning creative campaigns and assets
  • Optimize Go to Market strategy to stay ahead of competition
  • Help to define Brand Jobs To Be Done & Marketing Objectives
  • Brief in and assess quality of National Marketing Activation plans & tactics
  • Develop, execute, forecast National Base Pricing Strategy and Promotional Plans
  • Demonstrate Customer-First Mindset via Retailer/ETailer Specific Go – To – Market Activation strategy (Product roadmap and Marketing/Promo Plan)
  • Leverage Marketing Insights & Analytics + Category Management Teams to bring together the Category Strategy, 4Ps, Shopper and National Promo Plan into a powerful selling story for the Customer to be delivered during key selling points in the Retailer timeline
  • Translate Customer needs to Global and Local Center of Excellence to ensure that Philips is a preferred vendor partner
  • Translate the midterm product roadmap into concrete product specifications for implementation by the Sales Teams and the Category Management organization in the different sales channels.
  • Work closely with Sales planning to execute launches, promo plans & key account specific programs
  • Represent the brand with key Sales team members and customers
  • Establish effective working relationships and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

The growth engine of the Personal Care team driving marketing excellence to support ongoing base business health as well as transform the business through new business initiatives. As part of the Marketing Team, you will work collaboratively with cross functional colleagues, connecting customer and consumers with personal care solutions improving health everywhere while growing as a business builder. This position is based in Stamford CT with some partial remote work.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor required, MBA preferred
  • 3+ yrs of experience preferably in brand management and/or product marketing management.
  • Demonstrated passion for putting the Consumer at the center of all that is done
  • Technical Marketing/Business Analytics & Fundamentals skills
  • Working knowledge of latest Digital Trends related to business models and activation channels
  • Drive to take Initiative and Ownership
  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Data Driven Decision Making and problem-solving
  • Lead projects, delivering on time and in full by leveraging cross-functional teams
  • Sense of urgency, adaptability and drive
