Amazon Music is seeking a Sr. Cross-Category Marketing Manager to lead integrated artist marketing strategies and executions across Amazon’s business units, subsidiaries and partner brands. We are seeking an experienced and creative integrated marketing manager that has a proven track record mobilizing cross-functional teams, aligning multiple Amazon teams to shared goals, and navigating high-touch celebrity negotiations in order to deliver results. You will need to possess an entrepreneurial ability to try new and different things with minimal direction, while also influencing cross-org roadmaps. Overall, you will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas for artists and establish best practices for Amazon Music.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage the marketing planning process and calendar for high-impact releases that can drive awareness, consumption, and growth for Amazon Music
• Develop and execute marketing plans for cross-category artist partnerships; responsibility for measuring and analyzing performance
• Own the Go-To-Market strategy for critical partnerships
• Build and maintain positive relationships with other Amazon business units; create scalable mechanisms to facilitate inter-departmental transparency and communications
• Document results and prepare business reviews for the Amazon Music organization and external partners
• Help define the success metrics and improve marketing roadmap by communicating opportunities and partner feedback to cross-functional teams
• Drive continuous improvement in digital music operations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with the technology sales cycle and how to employ marketing strategies to nurture, drive adoption, and accelerate growth.
• Embodies and reflects the Amazon culture in thought and practice; collaborative, tenacious, and entrepreneurial
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
• Comfortable with a varied set of software tools and ability to learn new tools quickly
• Intuition for customer communication voice
• Experience working in the consumer technology and/or subscription service
• MBA Degree
