Job summary
Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing customer adoption of AWS database services? In this role, you will work directly with AWS account teams and customers in the enterprise segment. Your deep technology selling experience, enthusiasm for databases, and results-oriented focus will help AWS customers build amazing products and services on AWS database services like Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon DocumentDB.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned, enterprise technology sales representative with a passion for customer growth. The successful candidate will own a demonstrated track record of selling success, technical acumen as well as a team-player mentality. The successful candidate will have experience driving executive, C-level customer engagement. They will know how to collaborate with consulting partners to accelerate opportunities. Furthermore, they possess a technical understanding that enables them to easily interact with developers and technical architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical opportunities, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus.

Key job responsibilities
This role is accountable for:
- Driving revenue and market share across the entire suite of AWS database services in a defined territory or industry vertical as part of the AWS Worldwide Specialist Sales Organization.
- Developing executive relationships with AWS customers and create strategic value by introducing and evangelizing AWS database services.
- Advancing qualified sales opportunities for enterprise application workloads and data center migration projects. These opportunities will include migrating SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra and additional databases to the AWS cloud.
- Aligning on territory and account strategy with AWS enterprise, ISV, and digital native account teams.
- Providing feedback to AWS business development, solutions architects, marketing, and product teams on what is working and not working to help customers grow their business on AWS database services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technology related sales or business development experience.
- Direct field experience working with enterprise, ISV, or technology customers.
- Experience creating a strategic customer account plan
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience selling database/analytics products
- Demonstrated ability to create and develop executive customer relationships
- Previous experience selling cloud services
The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $142,800 – 193,199yr. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
