NA Network Production Scheduling Manager
Description
Lead efforts associated with the creation and management of the Master Production Schedule to ensure demand and supply plans are balanced at all times.
Develops strategies for adapting variances to the plan. Collaborates with other functional teams to ensure customer’s expectations and requirements are met.
Ensure product is offered to support customer demand by managing capacity constraints to meet target lead times.
Develop effective tools and processes to manage production schedules, ensuring these are achievable at all times, based on demonstrated capacity and material availability, to best meet customer demand.
Act as the primary liaison between Materials, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, OMCS, Marketing & Sales and other functional areas.
Create and maintains a capacity requirements plan that supports the master schedule.
Plan, prepare, maintain and report on performance of the Master Schedule.
Manage, coach, and mentor professional and hourly staff; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates works assignments considering employee skills and development needs
Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence direction and leverage common processes tools, and information systems.
Create common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships.
Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets.
Develop, understand and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators.
Analyze operational trends and develop corrective action plans.
Address supply chain failures promptly to ensure operations stability; escalate as appropriate.

Detailed Capacity Planning – Converts and translates the Master Production Schedule into detailed resource requirements resulting in optimized internal capacity utilization and identified constraints; negotiates changes to the schedule or available resources when demand exceeds demonstrated or installed capacity with a focus on meeting Available-to-Promise (ATP) dates; considers different options such as overtime, adding a shift or headcount, etc. to increase capacity during periods of constraint.

Master Supply Scheduling – Establishes and maintains a valid Master Production Schedule for a family of products, which meets customer’s expectations and requirements while maximizing operational efficiency; validates procurement scheduling, production scheduling, and replenishment planning are aligned to manufacturing and assembly assets for conversion.
Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) – Converts the Demand Plan and Master Supply Plan into critical resource (labor, machine, and materials) requirements resulting in negotiations and/or changes to the plan or available resources to balance supply and demand; focuses on longer term resource planning, not detailed.
Supply Chain Knowledge – Influences, with the ability to concisely explain and/or elaborate on, the multi-disciplined and end-to-end integration of the flow of information, products, and services to achieve the desired result for the end customer within the first-fit or aftermarket business segments while balancing the tensions of inventory, cost, and delivery.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
B.S or BA in applicable field, MBA preferred
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Significant level of relevant work experience required.
