Job summary
Amazon is seeking an experienced public relations professional to help support our worldwide advertising business, specifically leading PR for our streaming TV and audio ads. Amazon Ads helps brands reach relevant audiences on our sites, apps, devices and across the web in ways that help grow their businesses and create value for customers..

Key job responsibilities
As a PR Specialist for Amazon Ads you will provide counsel and partner with business leaders to craft and execute programs that support our steaming ad solutions across Freevee, Twitch, live sports, and Amazon Music’s ad-supported tier. This includes (but is not limited to) developing and executing owned and earned proactive communications strategies, tactics, and content; ongoing media relations; event support and amplification; collaborating with stakeholders across Amazon Ads’ product and marketing teams, as well as Amazon’s global PR team; and working with our international teams to help extend and localize programs for their regions where relevant.

The successful candidate is customer-obsessed and has: high-judgment, excellent communications, media relations, and project management skills. The candidate should have experience working with high standards under tight deadlines and managing ambiguity, as well explicit advertising and/or streaming TV experience.

A day in the life
Key Responsibilities:
• Spearhead owned and earned proactive communications strategies for our streaming TV and audio solutions
• Develop and lead PR programs supporting key industry events (ie NewFronts)
• Secure and manage speaking opportunities and press extensions
• Provide business leaders with ongoing strategic counsel and support
• Build and maintain strong media relationships
• Keep current on industry trends, issues, and news
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges

About the team
We have team members in both located in Seattle and New York, as well as EU and APAC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of Public Relations experience
• Advertising industry and/or streaming content/broadcast comms experience
• Bachelor’s degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with international teams and sales teams
• Experience managing press for large-scale events (ie, NewFronts, Upfronts)
• Experience writing for a wide range of audiences and formats
• Advanced proficiency driving comprehensive owned content strategies
• A passion for building, experimentation and big, creative thinking
