Essential Job Functions

  • Identify restrictions to patient access within Switzerland. Evaluate and identify creative sources and solutions that can help inform and influence the strategic business plan for patient outreach initiatives (e.g. recruitment events) in collaboration with stakeholders (e.g. physicians, research coordinators). Establish an understanding of referral dynamics and how patient access may be restricted or delayed to the treatment
  • Develop new and existing relationships with HCPs (e.g. physicians and key staff) through regular outreach and education activities, referring HCP visits, product demonstration and conference participation
  • Develop HCP- and patient-directed materials to support strategic business plan in collaboration with clinical marketing and therapy awareness team
  • Define current and future opportunities along the Heart Team referral pathway and engage Senior Hospital Leadership around those, to maximize the patient access to therapy. Connect these activities with Edwards strategic programs, such as Edwards Benchmark.
  • Maintain contact with local KOLs and develop high quality relations with other health care professionals, Develop event strategy , aligned with local dynamics/needs and EU event strategy
  • Evaluate local needs of the commercial and clinical teams in alignment with the marketing plan, including delivering field training and clinical marketing activities
  • Drive the implementation of new product and indication launches and ensure strong launch execution.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, economics, or biomedical engineering or equivalent or additional Healthcare related (scientific or engineering) post-graduate degree a plus (at least 8 years of related experience working in sales, marketing, or healthcare industry) or Master’s Degree (at least 6 years of related experience working in sales, marketing, or healthcare industry)

Required Skills

  • Proven successful project management skills
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of marketing concepts and principles
  • Extensive understanding of broad market research designs, develops market research programs coordinating with the global VOC manager and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of commercial goals behind research
  • Ability to forecast product lines for short-term and long-term accuracy based on market development, sales trends, competition and changing market dynamics.
  • Ability to assess and understand market share, pricing, ASPs, competitive dynamics
  • Possess strong clinical knowledge, experience and knowledge of the clinical areas where Edwards’ products are used or intended to be used, understand the purchasing process and challenges for product adoption in complex healthcare networks
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area working closely with cross-functional team, marketing peers and leaders and managing needs and messaging to upper management
  • Ability to maintain a strong relationship with the regional sales team, clinical specialists, governmental affairs, clinical economics and training to ensure effective and optimal integration of efforts
  • English mandatory and fluency in German language is a plus
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
