We’re looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Small Business Product Strategy Manager to join our SMB Segment Solutions team on the mission to democratize financial services and commerce for our small business heroes in the US and globally.
The SMB Omnichannel team is responsible for building the overarching strategy and enabling high-impact product and commercial initiatives to deliver delightful commerce experiences to small businesses. The team partners closely with PayPal leaders across Product, Sales, Marketing and Partnerships to connect strategy and execution across all customer touchpoints and help achieve our ambitious goals. SMB Segment Solutions include a broad product portfolio that ranges from in-store and online payments to business management software and financial services.
Our team is based in San Jose and Stockholm. As we support markets globally (focus on US and Europe), some travel may be required (lucky you!).
As a Small Business Product Strategy Manager, you will work side-by-side with our Head of SMB Segment Solutions and Strategy Director to support strategic planning, provide business and market analyses and prepare senior leadership meetings.
Your responsibilities will include:

Analyze business/market/competitor trends and synthesize strategic insights

Identify business opportunities to enhance our SMB commerce value proposition and enable data-driven business cases for decisioning

Prepare high-priority decision-making material for senior leadership meetings

Support Strategy Manager in planning and directing the work of other cross-functional teams to enable successful execution of strategic initiatives

Help build operations and processes to enhance performance and efficiency
The skills you need to succeed:

Bachelors degree in Business/Finance/Economics or similar
-
Relevant work experience within consulting, investment banking or in corporate strategy/development, preferably experience in FinTech and/or digital commerce

Strategic, analytical, communication, leadership and problem solving skills
-
Driven, self-starter with a passion for excellence

Comfortable with ambiguity and with working in a fast-paced environment

Fluency in English, preferably at least 1 additional language
We would be impressed if you had:

Experience in next-generation commerce solutions (e.g. SaaS) for SMBs

Experience from the payments industry, FinTechs or financial services
