Your Mission:

This position will develop product marketing plans and activities that support and help drive Medidata’s Medical Device and Diagnostics business to establish, enhance, and distinguish our products and solutions within the competitive Medical Device/Diagnostic clinical development arena. This position is responsible for formulating and implementing a strategic product marketing plan and the detailed tactics needed to increase awareness of Medidata’s experience and expertise in the Medical Device/Diagnostic area and our subject matter expertise in running medical device trials. The position will develop, among other marketing content and materials,  Fact Sheets, White Papers, Infographics, Customer-facing slides, Case Studies, Battlecards, Videos, Webinars, Proposal Boilerplate, and related content for the Medidata website. The position also supports industry events like SCOPE, DIA, and other medical device-related regional and global meetings as well as Medidata’s NEXT series of customer-focused events.

In addition to working with other product marketers, this position works closely with the product development team, global marketing, demand marketing, and sales enablement to develop and communicate go to market plans and product positioning that demonstrate the value of Medidata solutions to large and mid-size Medical/Device companies, the CROs that work with these companies and relevant personas, including C-suite personnel. In addition need, this position will work across Dassault Systemes (3DS) to incorporate Medidata’s positioning in the overall 3DS Medical Device market. As much as possible, this messaging should be evidence-based. This position also works with the Market and Competitive Intelligence team to monitor competitive activity and identify customer needs and works with product management and customer-facing personnel to enhance existing products.

The applicant should be a highly experienced product marketing professional with significant experience in the Medical Device/Diagnostic clinical trial area, preferably with a focus on SaaS solutions. The applicant will be joining a high-performing team, and who is able to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. The applicant should have strong communication skills (verbal and written) and be able to network with senior internal and external personnel in the marketing and technology/clinical trial space.  

Your Competencies:

  • Candidate should be a highly productive, self-starter able to think strategically and execute tactically through producing high quality, innovative, and targeted sales collateral and other related outputs on time.

  • Candidate needs excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding project management expertise, and the ability to effectively work across a matrixed organization

  • Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Google Slides/Sheets (??)

  • Candidate should be a team player able to effectively work with a wide range of internal personnel and outside vendors, from technical functional experts (e.g., programmers, product managers) to creative (e.g., writers, ad agencies)

 Your Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in health care and specific medical device/diagnostics development/clinical trials and experience with software as a service (SaaS)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;  or a Master’s degree with 5-7 years experience.
