Job summary
Amazon Pay, one of the fastest growing businesses within Amazon, is seeking an experienced marketing professional with a proven track record in integrated marketing and delivering successful acquisition and retention marketing programs across B2B and B2C audiences. This role requires a people manager with excellent analytical abilities, outstanding business acumen, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate is a data-driven self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

As a key member of the Marketing Leadership team and the EU management team you will lead Amazon Pay marketing efforts across the UK and EU; driving strategy, execution, measurement, and optimization for merchant acquisition, retention, and growth for direct, self-service, and partner channels. In addition, you will lead buyer marketing efforts to engage and retain the millions of Amazon customers who use Amazon Pay daily across thousands of stores in the UK and EU. The ideal candidate has experience defining the strategy and is comfortable being hands-on with execution and tactical decisions up and down the funnel for merchants and buyers.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead a high-performing team of 10+ including prioritization, resource management, hiring, mentorship, and performance management
• Set regional goals for marketing contribution, monitor marketing performance at individual and team levels partnering closely with the Sales & Marketing Operations team
• Define and execute the merchant acquisition strategy for the direct sales and self-service registration channels leveraging an integrated campaign framework to acquire new leads and accelerate pipeline
• Define and execute the merchant retention and growth strategy for our managed and unmanaged portfolio leveraging the merchant lifecycle marketing framework to consistently engage customers with relevant benefits
• Define and execute the buyer lifecycle marketing strategy leveraging Amazon Owned & Operated channels including email and MAPLE
• Partner with central marketing resources to engage merchant and buyer customers with relevant and compelling messages, campaigns, and thought leadership
• Collaborate with EU leadership to deliver programs that align with regional and local go-to-market strategies and requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of owning and writing complex documents and presenting/influencing VP+ stakeholders
• Demonstrated sound business judgment and the ability to think strategically about a quickly growing business alongside the interest and ability to dive into tactical details
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use research, hard data and metrics to challenge assumptions, generate credible forecasts, and solve problems
• Creative problem-solver with a growth mindset; actively and intuitively seeks ways to simplify process and improve performance
• Comfortable with ambiguity – able to establish strategic direction and execute effectively in a global, matrixed organization
