Job summary

Product Marketing is responsible for developing crisp, highly differentiated, and compelling positioning and messaging for AWS and its services. We tell AWS’s most important and interesting stories to educate customers about what is possible when you build on AWS. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for DevOps, you will have the opportunity to define and drive the marketing strategy for current and future DevOps services aimed at streamlining modern software development and release processes, and removing developer friction. You will be driving launch activities, creating compelling content to help customers understand the use cases and value propositions, and building the right marketing programs to drive awareness, customer engagement and service adoption. You will also work with the engineering teams to shape the product vision and prioritize features. You will get to work on this strategic and rapidly growing business and have a big impact every day.

Strong preference for this position to be in the San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle, but open to any U.S. location.

Key job responsibilities
Drive customer facing and sales facing messaging and positioning
Work at both the strategic and tactical level. Define, own and execute service launch plan and content plan
Craft and execute campaigns and leverage organic channels to reach our customers and help grow their understanding and usage of AWS DevOps and Developer services
Test and refine new marketing approaches and channels to reach and engage key audiences
Develop detailed campaign project plans, creative briefs, and digital strategies, including campaign goals, messaging, calls to action, segmentation strategy, adoption campaigns, marketing distribution channels, and campaign schedule
Define business metrics, measurement plan, and testing plan for related campaigns
Work effectively across AWS with groups such as engineering, digital marketing, sales, business development, and evangelists to achieve our joint business goals

* 7+ years of experience in fields such as technical marketing, technical pre-sales, consulting, training, or product marketing/management
A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field of study such as computer science OR 7+ years industry experience in marketing of technical products


* 5+ years demonstrated track record in crafting positioning and marketing content
Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative technology products
MBA and/or computer science, engineering, technology background
5+ year’s experience in product marketing for services targeting end users
Experience with cloud and data center infrastructure technologies
5+ year’s experience using and/or marketing DevOps and/or developer related products and services
Experience driving new product launch, new user adoption and rapid scaling

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $142-193K/year however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
