Labcorp seeks a dynamic marketing expert to lead the Women’s Health business. Women’s Health is a crucial business for Labcorp, with strong performance over the past several years. This role will be critical in defining new approaches to extend our portfolio and our reach, with strategies that go beyond diagnostics into Digital Health – including programs with Ovia Health, as well as connectivity to clinical trials, while enhancing the patient experience. The incumbent will develop business and marketing strategies, go-to-market plans for Women’s Health, and thoughtful portfolio expansions.
This role has broad scope and influence, as follows. Execute strategic marketing initiatives to support the business and deliver on key success metrics. Ensure customer insights, market research, data and analytics, integrated strategies, and growth objectives are harmonized with the business and growth needs. Work with key partners to complete competitive analysis, market assessment, and audience segmentation before product launches, and maximize test revenue. Own product life cycles of new and existing tests and services, monitor performance, make redirect recommendations as needed, and develop business cases to improve growth and profitability. Work closely with business units, world-class experts in science and technology, and managed care and hospital system segments to align and develop effective and compelling growth and communication strategies. Participate and/or lead Labcorp initiatives beyond the Women’s Health arena and across the specialty and primary care segments as appropriate, to maximize organization and market impact.
Essential Job Duties:
- Develop and implement women’s health wellness, disease, and conditions projects that define and guide strategic and tactical integrated marketing plans. Lead initiatives to optimize potential sales and marketing opportunities. Identify and target audiences, along with partners to complete market segmentation.
- Monitor and continually assess the Women’s Health portfolio, including clients’ needs and competitors’ offerings.
- Directly lead a talented product management/marketing team (5-6 direct reports) with indirect leadership and partnering across the marketing organization (100+ people). Lead the way in fostering collaborative relationships across the company.
- Lead cross-functional teams that develop, test, and launch new products and services, partnering closely with different functions, segments, and marketing.
- Work closely with managed care teams around reimbursement strategies and insights.
- Consult and develop programs that support specific hospital and health systems around shared value and market share gain.
- Create launch plans that bring new products and services to market, effectively engaging operational readiness, and go-to-market strategies that maximize business impact.
- Collaborate with Market Research to capture data and implement VOC programs.
- Work with the digital team to make sure content, acceleration strategies, SEO, and messaging placement are maximized.
- Manage marketing support staff, providing development, training, and leading the department’s need to be a more strategic business function.
- Lead Labcorp-wide initiatives, maximizing company, and brand impact. Adapt national initiatives to meet local marketing needs, where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business preferred.
- MBA or MPH is strongly preferred.
- 10+ years in marketing leadership positions with a strong track record of accomplishments in driving effective business strategies and results in a highly matrixed organization.
- Accomplished at presenting to executive leadership.
- Health care, managed care, and/or hospital health systems experience is highly desirable.
- Strong services experience and orientation with a minimum of 7 years of commercial and/or operational experience with service-based or B2B companies.
- A self-motivated, innovative leader with a track record of effectively engaging sales.
- Strong history of driving innovation and business growth strategies.
- Must be able to see the big, global picture and be willing to roll-up sleeves to deliver and exceed expectations consistently.
- Successful history of growing and leading teams.
