Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented, self-directed public sector marketing leader to generate awareness and adoption of AWS cloud computing platform in the Nordic region. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, fast growing business.
As the Marketing leader for public sector Nordics, you will be responsible for building and implementing the AWS marketing strategy, planning, campaign development and execution targeted to startups, developers, small businesses and public sector enterprise customers across all of the region. You will be responsible for defining and driving regional marketing programs, digital marketing and events and you will work closely with local sales teams focused on these regions. You will work closely with the field sales teams across countries in the Nordics to deliver marketing initiatives and campaigns that drive AWS awareness, generate demand or help accelerate opportunities. In addition you will also work closely with the Nordic Leadership team to explore new markets and build marketing strategies and initiatives to ignite new markets for AWS in the Nordic region. You will partner with marketing leaders in other regions across EMEA and share practices with other teams across the world.
The right candidate is able to drive business impact and has successful experience in results-driven marketing and partnering with the internal teams to drive growth in new regions, as well as an unbridled passion for technology, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Basic qualifications

At least 10 years of experience in marketing. Experience in marketing B2B technology products or services preferred. Demonstrated success in marketing management, developing marketing strategy, digital marketing, event management, product management, lead management. Demonstrated experience in measuring and improving the ROI of marketing investments. Experience of operating and collaborating in a fast-paced, cross-functional, global organization. A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results. Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables. Proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget and deliver on time. Willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously. Proven knowledge of industry tools preferred, such as Salesforce and Marketo. Fluency in English. Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or relevant field of study.

Basic Qualifications

  • Significant relevant work experience in marketing, marketing communications and/or digital/high-technology companies/products to public sector IT customers.
  • Proven track record creating compelling positioning and marketing content for Public Sector.
  • Strong digital marketing background
  • Demonstrated ability to tie marketing programs to ROI metrics
  • Ability to develop effective marketing assets (product videos, web content) within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative technology product success.
  • A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and a knack for driving and/or being associated with benchmark industry products/services.
  • Accomplished range of skills from high level strategic thinking to creative and execution.
  • Proven success in managing complex and multi-faceted, measured marketing programs with the ability to drive projects through completion and metrics.
  • The demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Superior presentation and written communication skills.
