The Amazon People Engine Business Operations team is looking for a Content Strategist with a proven track record in successfully managing multiple projects within a fast paced and dynamic environment. We are seeking an experienced Program Manager who understands the overall content lifecycle to help drive the vision and mission of our content strategy, including providing adherence to the information architecture currently in place while providing improvements to it. This role will develop and drive high visibility programs as our content is an integral way in which we communicate with our stakeholders and partners and our internal teams. The Content Strategist will drive key tactical operational process improvement activities and will identify and drive key metrics to lead to both process and product improvements. This role will participate in product and roadmap discussions to better align content and communication activities for the department. In this role, you will utilize expert project management skills to support the day-to-day operations. You will also manage project-related communications to members, executives and other stakeholders while providing program management leadership. This role will also assist in other business operations activities as needed, such as metric development and analysis.

Key job responsibilities
• Understands the overall content lifecycle
• Can develop an “easy to use” information architecture to build a logical content library that is effective, discoverable, searchable, and up to date. Will be responsible for revamping our wiki site and interdependencies with SharePoint, Quip documents, and Workdocs.
• Ability to audit and/or use metrics to determine when to update/retire content and/or how to make the right changes at the right time, including tagging and architectural changes.
• Ability to ensure that the most relevant messages are being surfaced, at the right time, to the right customers.
• Ability to collaborate with other colleagues, including engineering and product, to guide content design that enables sharing of information across all of the teams.
• Ability to leverage internal platforms and tools to help our content strategy efforts.
• Ability to perform tactical work, including content development, auditing, and managing of ad hoc requests.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years experience in program or project management
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
• 3+ years content strategy and information architecture experience
• Experience with content management systems (CMS ) and analytics platform
• Experience with taxonomy, tagging, and the development of an information architecture
• Experience using data to measure impact and guide future strategies
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Solid project management skills that drives results against a plan
• Ability to work independently owning an ambiguous project. Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment. They should be positive, proactive and be able to exercise great judgment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Exposure to HR/HCM (Human Capital Management) systems and their development and implementation
• Expertise in business re-engineering/transformation using lean and six sigma methodologies
