Solutions Field Marketing Managers – Remote, US

With this in mind, the NA Solution Center of Competency is seeking an experienced candidate interested in developing and enhancing their strategic acumen, and leadership skills, supporting the NA Commercial & Enterprise sales organizations.

The Solutions Field Marketing Managers are Marketing, Technical & Sales Resources tasked with delivering profitable solution share growth through the enablement of field and inside sales teams. The t eam will be focused on Data Center Infrastructure GTM across the region, working closely with Server and Storage CoCs as well as Data Center Sales (DCS), Specialty Sales and Sales through the following:

  • Coordination, dissemination & implementation of training activities
  • Fast, decisive engagement on strategic opportunities, including win summaries
  • Creation and execution of coordinated solution-based sales plays and programs
  • Deep collaboration with cross-functional teams like Segment Marketing, Sales Operations, Product group & other CoC Teams
  • Deriving and disseminating relevant insights from careful data analytics
  • Providing core inside and outside sales teams with technical expertise around the entire solution and solutions portfolio of products & services
  • Building intermediate and long-term planning frameworks including go-to-market motions, influencing solution roadmap, and planning for solution launches

The Solutions Field Marketing Manager is able to articulate how solutions impact our customers, and the Dell ISG portfolio. A key priority will be to drive sales enablement and programs that target non-IT decision makers to help grow new buyers. The Solution Field Marketing Manager will work closely with Core Sales, Sales Specialists, PG, SLM and Marketing to achieve KPIs (New golden contacts, new workloads, action rate, conversion rate, pipeline).

The Solution Field Marketing Manager has strong function knowledge of the following areas:

  • NA business environment, sales structure and culture, unique segment requirements
  • Dell sales tools & processes (sales experience STRONGLY preferred)
  • Industry Trends / Business Impact discussions
  • Sales Operation & Fulfillment organizations, teams & processes
  • Direct and Channel sales
  • Core Dell ISG LOBs
  • Workload experience:
  • Big Data/Analytics
  • Artificial Intelligence & High-Performance Computing
  • SAP, Oracle, SQL

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred, MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of relevant business experience in the IT industry (Sales, Sales Operations or Product Engineering – sales experience strongly preferred )
  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time in support of Dell customers and sales stakeholders (NA only)
  • Strong analytics/insights capabilities
  • Deep understanding of the Dell sales structure, culture and ethos
  • Proven ability to operate successfully in high-stress environments & ever-changing priorities
