Job Summary

The Consultant, Product Marketing Manager – Pricing Lead for Dell MCSG leads global product marketing strategy for our growing business of modernization solutions. Working with the Product Managers, they lead the efforts to build and launch offers, specializing specifically in pricing strategy and serving as the residing expert and pricing lead on the team. Pricing strategy will drive go-to-market strategy and promote adoption of our products to achieve business success and profitable growth.

Key Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and develop value-based pricing for aaS solutions that combine services, software and hardware. Expertise in sliding scale pricing based on size and consumption per customer.
  • Aptitude to work hand in hand with cross functional teams such as product group, GTM and financing.
  • Perform financial evaluation to assess pricing action effectiveness.
  • Establishing process for price change requests from sales teams by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitive price levels.
  • Frequent and present to Leadership Transformation Team made up of VPs and above from across all teams.

Essential Requirements:

  • Requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years specific experience leading, directing and implementing strategic, tactical and operational pricing initiatives/schematics
  • Pricing per product (services, SW, HW, peripherals). Working hand in hand with cross functional teams such as product group, GTM and financing.
  • Sliding scale pricing based on size and consumption per customer.
  • Establishing process for price change requests from sales teams by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitive price levels.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in product marketing, communications, or product management for sophisticated technologies (software preferred)
  • Experience with aaS offer and launch
