Position Summary

The Sr. Alliance Marketing Manager, Cloud Service Providers will plan, develop, and execute integrated marketing campaigns with one or more of our key cloud partners. The ideal candidate is comfortable overseeing all aspects of integrated marketing: budget management, campaign/event strategy, content strategy, creative direction, and sales enablement. 

Work You Will  Do

This role will be responsible for driving pipeline through successful co-marketing programs with our cloud provider partners.

In this strategic role, you will create and execute unique, integrated, results-driven marketing campaigns across the industry and throughout the marketplace to create visibility and strength of our Cloud Alliance relationships. You will have the opportunity to oversee all aspects of marketing including event strategy, content development, core messaging and positioning, creative direction, marketing plans, sales enablement, and influence budgeting. You will build and maintain relationships with internal and external Alliances and teams internally to influence the adoption of marketing best practices.

This individual will be responsible for driving alliance marketing programs, building internal and external awareness of technology solutions, and planning and executing marketing events for Palo Alto Networks (PANW) Cloud Alliances. The position requires experience in leading the marketing strategy and executing programs with strong project management skills. Must be comfortable working in a self-directed environment and independently execute many marketing deliverables including value propositions, solution briefs, global marketing plans, and multi-city events.

Your Impact

  • Lead and Do: Lead marketing efforts directly supporting multiple key strategic alliances. You will help create and support the marketing strategy for various partners working with the Global Strategic Alliance Marketing Lead, to reach marketing goals aligned to the business objectives and targets of the Global Strategic Alliances organization. You will be an important point of contact for the Cloud Alliances sales team globally.
  • Relationships: develop and maintain relationships with key partners, alliance engagement managers, and internal stakeholders to help further the relationship and joint marketing opportunities.
  • Marketplace Advertising: Build, optimize, expand, and maintain Marketplace listings. Develop a world-class digital experience to merchandise product listing pages (titles, ad copy, bullets, etc.) for conversion.
  • Execute multi-channel, multi-partner programs: work with various internal groups and partner teams to build integrated marketing plans. 
  • Nurture: work with marketing and sales teams both internally and at the partner to document, optimize and report on lead nurture efforts.
  • Outcomes and Reporting: set, track, and report progress around KPIs and ROI metrics, including regular readouts on the performance of partner marketing programs. Conduct quarterly marketing reviews (QMRs) with key alliance executives (internal and partner) to review success/progress, identify gaps and maintain executive alignment and support.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Proven track record of success in a partner marketing role within the cloud service provider or cybersecurity industries.
  • Proven track record of success in a partner marketing role within the cloud service provider or cybersecurity industries.
  • 10+ years of enterprise marketing experience including partner marketing 
  • Demonstrable experience and expertise working with organizations such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and other Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Systems Integrators (SIs).
  • Good communication (written and verbal), reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly cross-functional environment to drive outcome-based plans, programs, and execution.
  • Understanding of a broad range of marketing activities, disciplines, and tactics, including field marketing, digital marketing, and industry events.
  • Demonstrated pipeline impact of partnerships and programs.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter that can build and launch programs and communications within budget and effectively manage multiple timelines.
  • Ability to travel, approximately 20% travel may be required..
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar or related work experience.  

Position Location:  This position can report into our Santa Clara, CA headquarters or be Remote within the United States, preferably near a major metropolitan area.
