Position Summary…

What you’ll do…

MUST HAVE COMPLETED A SAM’S CLUB SUMMER 2021 INTERNSHIP WITH THE BUSINESS.

People Development: Coaches less experienced team members and provides feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance.

Vendor Sourcing, Selection and Contracting: Assists with the vendor sourcing, selection and renewal processes by reviewing contracts, RFPs, bid packages; obtains appropriate approvals and signatures to finalize contracts. Maintains and monitors existing vendor contracts, ensuring currency and compliance. Manages vendor onboarding and day-to-day administration for suppliers (e.g., ensuring contractors have badges and access to computer systems, training on key processes and security clearances).

Vendor Management: Regularly communicates with a variety of suppliers, working to identify and resolve issues (e.g., change orders for existing contracts; unpaid invoices). Manages purchase orders with suppliers, buyers and other vendors. Assists with setting up approved new vendors in GSS/ Marketing system and ensuring suppliers have technology access and site access, working with security, as appropriate.

Vendor Performance Assessment and Improvement: Maintains databases and other sources of vendor performance data. Creates and recommends new vendor performance reports by analyzing vendor utilization data. Leads annual evaluation process, working with consultant and vendors to execute, including timeline development and management and stakeholder management.

Financial Operations: Performs complex data entry and pulls reports on routine financial data (e.g., sales, margins, ROI). Reviews the work of third-party data entry specialists. Analyzes and reports on vendor cost information. Receives invoices and processes payments for vendors according to payment terms. Troubleshoots financial issues and works with vendors to resolve in timely manner. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications…

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field OR 2 years’ experience in business management, database management, or relatedfield.
