BUSINESS UNIT: Our Samsung Electronics America Retail Operations Team is a growing a best in class organization within Samsung worldwide. We continue to challenge the existing retail models and processes to makes this team the home for talented, driven, and creative professionals, who want to be on the front lines of consumer electronics sales. Our team relishes the opportunity to push Samsung’s retail capabilities to be the new paradigm for consumer engagement. With our partnerships with the top consumer electronics retailers and its own experiential sites, Retail Operations is delivering a consumer experience to maximize both sales and consumer satisfaction.

Role and Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

Merchant Operations

  • Responsible for all components of product and retail operations for field teams
  • Ensuring all aspects of product features and functions are consistent and aligned across all capabilities and teams within retail operations organization
  • Works closely with product team and GTM teams to ensure all strategies and plans are operationalized and delivered to field teams and channels
  • Work cross channel to ensure digital and physical merchant functions have cross-channel alignment

Product Management Operations

  • Responsible for ensuring cross channel and capability management across the retail operations organization for all products within the Mobility portfolio
  • Specific focus and growth required for computing, tablets and wearable products

Customer Experience Operations

  • Responsible for ensure all aspects of the customer experience strategy is design, developed and deployed into all field training plans, channel incentive programs and all consumer facing operational tools and resources
  • Work closely with the CX Capability teams to ensure all components are properly operationalized with seamless integration
  • Account Team Ops
  • Partner with GTM RAM team to drive direct alignment with the carrier teams and provide a singular retail operations execution plan
  • Partner with GTM team and VP/GM retail POC to ensure clear, consistent and comprehensive retail operational plans
  • Marketing Ops
  • Responsible for alignment of marketing tools and resources across retail operations
  • Finance (MDF Mgt)
  • Responsible for all MDF dollars within ops team and work closely with retail ops finance team to ensure budget management and all cost savings/efficiency opportunities
  • In-store Marketing
  • Responsible for leading all in-store/in channel marketing efforts
  • Support, manage and drive innovation and better ways to capture and solicit in-store marketing enablement
  • Merchandising/Deployments
  • Responsible to alignment and delivery of cross RO merchandising and deployment capabilities and assets
  • Work closely with design, visual merch and deployment teams to ensure seamless delivery of a world-class operational program
  • National Retail Operations
  • In partnership with GTM, drive performance of existing assets within national retail
  • Innovation around new, enhanced and/or dynamic in-store operational programs and plans to enhance the customer experience and drive sales
  • Digital Operational Alignment
  • Work directly with newly formatted digital strategy group to drive cross channel alignment and clear operational procedures
  • Serve as Retail Operations champion for all things digital to ensure all operating groups are designing and development plans to include digital channels
  • Cross Channel Process and Planning
  • Serve as the group that develops standard operating procedures to eliminate gaps within the operational process.
  • Responsible for operating plans for cross channel initiatives
  • Partner with strategy team and GTM to ensure operational initiatives for all planning

Skills and Qualifications

Background & Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. MBA preferred
  • 15-20 years of experience in large big box or carrier retailers with 8-10 years of Senior leadership in Retail Operations
  • Experience in marketing and/or merchandising operations
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams
  • Mobile industry or consumer electronics retail experience strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills able to regularly interact with SVP audience with minimal oversight or support
