Job summary
Amazon Ads operates at the intersection of e-commerce and advertising, offering a rich array of digital advertising solutions with the goal of helping our customers discover anything they want to buy. We help advertisers reach Amazon customers on Amazon owned sites. We start with the customer and work backwards in everything we do, including advertising. A strategically important part of our charter is to drive adoption and engagement across a portfolio of self-service, cost per click advertising programs to enable advertisers to engage with customers in relevant ways. Our team is focused on educating Amazon’s selling partners in Amazon expansion marketplaces to use advertising through lifecycle marketing spanning advertiser acquisition, retention and growth.

As a Marketing Manager for Amazon Advertising’s sponsored ads business, this role will work closely with other Amazon teams (Advertising Sales and Marketing, and Consumer) to drive advertiser adoption and growth in EU expansion marketplaces (the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland). This role will identify local opportunities for the Advertising business to partner with these teams on growth initiatives, drive program implementation, and measure and report on success. This role will proactively seek ways to scale this program through process improvements and simplification, such as developing resources to empower local teams to continue driving these initiatives independently in the future. This role will also work directly with advertisers to drive awareness and education of sponsored ad products, such as through on-site/virtual presentations.

We are looking for a driven self-starter. Someone who is customer centric, with strong communication skills, analytical skills, capacity to influence stakeholders, attention to detail, and intermediate or better Excel skills. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly, constantly be looking for opportunities to scale initiatives and be able to execute in an environment characterized by speed, fun, and collaboration.

About the team
Our team is focused on educating Amazon’s selling partners in Amazon expansion marketplaces to use self-service advertising through lifecycle marketing spanning advertiser acquisition, retention and growth.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication or other related field
-2-5 years in B2B or B2C sales, account management, marketing or related role
-Intermediate or better Excel skills for manipulating data and generating insights.
-Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast paced workplace with ongoing change and ambiguity
-Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders/partners to meet goals

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Experience managing end-to-end strategy, from ideation through to execution and reporting
-Experience designing, curating and implementing events and programs that drive product engagement and conversion
-Familiarity with marketing tools (such as Marketo, IBM Silverpop, Adobe Campaign)
-Display/Search advertising experience
-Intermediate experience with SQL in performing data extractions and analysis
