Senior Merchandising Analyst – Commercial Marketing: L8

Commercial Marketing owns responsibility for providing a critical link between Sector and Division Marketing and Commercial Planning teams within Pepsi North America Beverages. The role of Senior Marketing Analyst will be a critical member within the high performing Commercial Marketing team. Specifically, the Senior Marketing Analyst will have the unique opportunity of supporting the efforts that fuel development of best in class merchandising tools to support all DSD North American beverages.

As part of this team, you will be given significant responsibility to work with our internal matrixed team of create, studio, temporary and permanent equipment production, merchandising innovation and Moment of Choice insights and analytics groups. These teams support existing and new frameworks and insight sources that allow the Commercial Marketing team to ultimately create merchandising tools that drive brand recognition and consumption at the Moment of Choice. You will need to be able to support and lead agendas in the face of ambiguity, influence hearts and minds of both consumers and internal stakeholders, and bring new ideas for merchandising to life with a bias for high-impact action.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Build collaborative relationships with key Sales and Commercial constituents in order to identify critical opportunities for developing new merchandising solutions
  • Partner with Commercial leaders in Strategy and Perfect Store teams to deliver robust learning plans, for a deep understanding of new category spaces and what it will take to win within it
  • Partner with both Customer and Insights teams to identify pilot plans that allow for robust testing of merchandising ideas with relevant and measurable KPI’s
  • Support Commercial Marketing leadership by creating and maintaining a pipeline of innovative substrates, designs, technologies and feedback that allow for agile development of new tools for the most relevant products
  • Work with Brand, Division teams and internal partners to assess, upgrade and consolidate systems and processes for ordering all relevant merchandising tools

Qualifications/Requirements

This Purchase-based role requires 3-5 years of relevant experience. The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferred major is Business (others will be considered).

  • Ability to share a compelling vision and rally a cross-functional team behind it
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively, and a high comfort level with moving forward through ambiguity
  • Experience managing internal cross-functional teams
  • Gold standard collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skillset with ability to find actionable, pragmatic solutions for complex problems
  • A sense of urgency, bias for action and the ability to ruthlessly prioritize
  • Strong MS office skills plus ability to adapt to other technology as needed
