Job summary
Prime Video is a premium streaming service that offers Prime members a collection of thousands of movies and TV showsall with the ease of finding what they love to watch in one place. Prime members can watch hit TV series, popular movies and Amazon Originals including The Wheel of Time, Reacher, LOL: Last One Laughing Canada, and more, available for unlimited streaming as a part of Prime membership. Customers in Canada can also stream live news and sports, add channels they love and rent or buy popular movies.

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual with a passion for growing a business focused on unique and inspiring entertainment that delivers for our customers. The Sr. Marketing Manager will be responsible for analyzing performance and develop business cases to increase acquisition, engagement and retention by influencing decision-making across marketing, content, and product. They will lead lifecycle marketing by defining customer segmentation leveraging Amazon data and market segment research, and work with key stakeholders to set performance goals and influence the project roadmap. They will also work with other business units within Amazon to lead and execute high priority strategic initiatives to increase engagement and awareness for Prime Video.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, an ability to turn data into actionable insights, and excellent ability to build relationships with a variety of business stakeholders and senior leadership. The candidate will have strong business strategy background, and a proven track record for driving output and results, working autonomously to set a roadmap and goals for performance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse set of stakeholders and senior leaders across Amazon to create and drive the strategic vision for Prime Video growth in Canada.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop lifecycle marketing strategy for Prime Video with partner teams, including Business Intelligence and Finance stakeholders
  • Define audience segments, and identify opportunity areas to drive acquisition, engagement and retention
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to cross-functional team members and senior leadership
  • Own day-to-day relationship with key partner teams (Prime, Retail, etc.), devising tactics to support Prime Video and increase engagement
  • Influence and secure alignment for product and feature roadmaps to improve customer experience
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of high priority strategic initiatives and projects for Prime Video team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Ability to think strategically and operationally, delivering the day to day while defining and leading future direction
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum 4+ years of non-internship marketing-related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-10+ years of related professional marketing and leadership experience
  • Background in corporate development, consulting, product management, product marketing, or marketing strategy
  • Experience working with tech teams to drive product requirements and roadmaps
  • Experience in lifecycle management and subscription business
