Global Senior Business Manager – Transaction & Integration

You will be responsible for managing BCG’s Transaction & Integration (TI) business, the hub for the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Carve-out and Post-Merger Integration (PMI) expertise.
TI is one of the four business units of Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice (CFS).

The TI Global Senior Business Manager is a key member of the TI Global Leadership Team and the CFS Management & Operations Team. He/she will be responsible for managing numerous concurrent projects and key operations of TI, which includes but is not exclusive to

Strategy: supporting the global TI leader, regional TI leaders and topic leaders on setting the strategic direction for TI, developing the roadmap and implementation plans for strategic priorities

Leadership support: Support the TI leadership team on setting the agenda, preparation of leadership meetings, and presentations at other PA or management team meetings

Commercial operations: monitoring large commercial opportunities, designing pipeline and competitive intelligence analyses. Devising plans to improve commercial excellence of TI globally. Prioritising investment opportunities including sector functional and topic campaigns

Business development: program-managing priority sector commercial campaigns, liaising with sector campaign leaders, ensuring client calling programs are delivered

People agenda: managing TI people initiatives, including recruiting (ECT, MDP and senior hires), and the development of next generation of TI leaders (e.g PPC input). Growing the affiliation of TI globally. Planning and facilitating large global affiliate activities (e.g. the global meetings)

Team management: leading and developing the TI operations team, which is composed of 2 Regional Managers and TI Marketing Manager (dotted line). Ensure appropriate resource levels to enable the overall TI agenda, including team sizing, hiring, training, development and organization

Innovation/IP development: working with topic leaders and the Knowledge Team to develop the TI topic content agenda, developing intellectual capital, including knowledge assets, benchmarks and digital tools. Ensuring marketing, roll-out and deployment of flagship tools with Omnia. Prioritise innovation budget (Tier 1s) to advance the content development agenda

Marketing: working closely with Marketing MDP and TI Marketing Manager to deliver an aggressive TI external and internal marketing and social media agenda

Business operations: planning, budgeting, reporting for TI globally

Collaboration: collaborating with CFS Management & Operations team members, Knowledge Team and Marketing. Work closely with leaders in Industry Practice Areas on TI Sector campaigns.

Ability to work with Senior BCG Leaders across a range of leadership styles and cultural backgrounds
Strong communication skills, including influencing and facilitation, driving discussions to results
Ability to focus messaging to key concepts / topics / issues
Ability to influence and collaborate with others to get the job done

Stakeholder management
High capacity to interface and network with a broad range of colleagues with different seniority, functional expertise, background and capacities


Consulting skills preferred, 14+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred
Understanding the core business of industry and functional practices at BCG
Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel; familiar with collaboration tools (Slack, Trello, MS Teams etc)
Excellent English speaker
Experience working in global/virtual team settings
