Job Description Summary:

As a part of the Churn & Retention team, the Reactivation Marketing Specialist will drive and execute impactful programming to re-engage lapsed PayPal users at scale by:

• Delivering against program targets for Net New Active users through always-on programming and continued test & learn experimentation
• Executing upon strategic ‘Boulders’ to drive Reactivation marketing at scale across North America, Europe & Australia
• Supporting and executing backlog of Growth experiments to re-engage churned users with tailored, impactful programming
• Engaging agile team inclusive of dedicated resources across Marketing Operations, Analytics & Creative to launch programming across both owned and paid channels
• Working cross-functionally with Risk, Product, & other segment marketing teams to bring key churn initiatives to life

Job Description:

Planning & Strategy

  • Act as active stakeholder on ideation, strategy and creation of the Churn experimentation roadmap​
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to execute new marketing initiatives designed to meet KPI goals. Partners include: Local/International Marketing, Marketing Operations, Product, Web, Legal, Analytics, and more.​
  • Help drive Backlog prioritization working with growth analytics to size / model highest potential ideas ​
  • Intake segment lead’s priorities as part of the monthly program briefing and formulate optimal response – one that delivers against both brief / goal and always-on performance agenda​
  • Ensure optimal customer experience, elevated creative and compelling messaging / value promise​
  • Advise fellow marketing colleagues on best practices for landing page User Experience (UX) design, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

Testing & Execution

  • Write the Experiment brief and testing plan ensuring reliable tracking / instrumentation across funnel​
  • Develop optimal experiment vetting idea and against end-to-end customer experience​
  • Coordinates end-to-end implementation inclusive of legal and other reviews, and ensure thorough A/B testing agenda is built into each experiment​
  • Actively monitor and seek learning immediately post launch to improve results in-flight​
  • Work with agency partners to design high-performing creative marketing assets (predominately owned channels—emails, onsite banners, landing pages, app notifications, etc). 

Learnings & Analytics

  • Quantify business impact of marketing campaigns and share results with stakeholders on a regular cadence.​
  • Ensure that comprehensive analytics tracking, testing, and continuous improvement are incorporated throughout every project.​
  • Manage and report on ongoing budget spend for agency costs and incentive payouts.​
  • Drive rigorous learning and insights post launch. Audit every aspect of the experiment – funnel, audience, messaging, etc. Seek to innovate and scale what has been proven as fast as possible to achieve maximum impact​


Growth / Agile Discipline

  • Embody agile ways of working from planning through execution and learnings – ceremonies and artifacts ​​
  • Work closely with agile squad members to execute global marketing projects/campaigns. 

Key Skills Required

  • 2+ years of experience as data-driven performance marketer operating across direct response paid and owned channels at scale​
  • Entrepreneurial & Results Focused: bring a ‘hustler’ style mentality and be highly results oriented. Get things done against the odds​
  • Demonstrated success with improving the performance of owned marketing channels​
  • Experience leveraging marketing analytics tracking (Google Analytics, Tableau,  HubSpot, etc)
  • Inquisitive marketer and thinker with high-level of curiosity and drive to test new ideas and future sources of growth​
  • Deep experience with A/B testing and supporting measurement and attribution techniques
