Marketing Manager – Lifecycle & Retention, Paramount+

Paramount+ launched in Canada in March 2021 and is going through a period of rapid growth. Our Canada marketing team is looking for an experienced Lifecycle and Retention marketing manager to help develop and execute best-in-class retention and lifecyle marketing campaigns order to drive awareness of Paramount+ in Canada and grow our paid subscribers. Ideally, you are an individual who is self-starting, passionate about digital marketing, and have experience working cross-functionally within large, international organizations. This role reports directly to the Senior Director of User Acquisition, Engagement, and Growth but interacts with local, central and global teams across different time zones and different functions including, creative, finance, and leadership.

In this role, you will:

  • Own planning and execution of all email, lifecycle, and retention marketing campaigns to support title / content launches in order to improve engagement rates, reduce churn, and improve LTV.
  • Coordinate asset development and copy for all retention messaging
  • Report to cross-functional teams on campaign performance as well as suggest data-driven recommendations for future campaigns
  • Partner with the CRM team to refine automated communication and personalized experiences that respond to user behavior and trends to drive engagement with current subscribers
  • Drive testing for promotional offers
  • Collaborate with central teams to design A/B tests for copy, layout, imagery, and segmentation to optimize open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, and revenue per send
  • Collaborate with brand and performance marketing teams as necessary to reduce churn rate, improve win-back rates and increase LTV
  • Explore and unlock new channels to reach customers effectively; research and implement new technology to constantly improve and innovate customer experience across all touch points
  • Partner with the billing team to decrease churn through effective billing strategies across multiple platforms

Requirements

  • 4+ years of work experience in a relevant function such as customer retention, relationship management, or retention marketing
  • Exceptional understanding of relevant retention marketing concepts including engagement, churn, LTV, and customer segmentation
  • Experience with loyalty programs and CRM
  • Experience with creating segmentation models and audience profiles
  • Ability to derive meaningful insights from media campaigns and clearly articulate learnings
  • Experience working with multi-platform products on mobile, web and OTT
  • Strong understanding of standard reporting suites, (Adobe or Google Analytics) and Excel is a must (Tableau is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation tools (e.g. Adobe Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, etc.)
  • Capacity to coordinate with International, and other internal teams
  • Ability and flexibility to adapt to changes in schedules and delivery
  • Excellent proficiency in verbal and written communication in English, (French is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in related field
  • Knowledge of TV Content or Digital Streaming
  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM law as it relates to email marketing
  • Experience using SQL and reporting in Tableau
  • Consumer of entertainment content and interest in it
  • Experience working in the streaming industry including a knowledge of current trends
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
