Implement a data-driven ID&E strategy across the AWS World Wide Professional Services (WW ProServe) businesses.

Working on the AWS ID&E global team, and working with stakeholders across the business, you will be responsible for implementation of key initiatives of the ProServe ID&E strategy. You will also be responsible for the results of those initiatives and the impact they have on the business. These will range across HR processes, partnering with diversity recruiting work streams, and working with WW ProServe business leaders on building a culture of inclusion. You will ensure we are developing our current team members on the topic of ID&E. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs as you implement the programs.
Successful candidates will have proven experience with strategy implementation and leading ID&E initiatives across multiple global organizations with numerous stakeholders up to SVP level. You must have experience driving meaningful action, be data- and detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will be asked to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment and must have a demonstrated track record of managing multiple concurrent projects and driving them to completion. Because the person in this role will influence team members worldwide, they will also need to be highly collaborative and able to influence without authority while also being able to work with significant autonomy. This role will report into the AWS Sales & Marketing ID&E team, as part of the AWS Inclusion, Diversity and Equity global team, and partner with the talent acquisition organization, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
Primary job duties are:

  • Trusted advisor to senior leaders, drive ID&E strategy initiatives partnering with peers, groups and employees to influence and utilize existing Amazon-wide mechanisms.
  • Manage the ID&E plan for the WW ProServe businesses. This includes developing and communicating Objectives/Key Results and Key Performance Indicators, developing and implementing programs, and supporting communication of plan and program status to goals.
  • Implement existing AWS Global ID&E programs and design and implement Sales business specific programs.
  • Develop change management strategy for stakeholders at levels up to SVP and out to the entire AWS ProServe organization.
  • Train and facilitate small and large groups on the topic of ID&E, and present on these topics in front of large audiences.
  • Collaborate with AWS customers/partners on ID&E initiatives as appropriate.
  • Advocate for ID&E topics within the business, evangelize the importance of inclusion and innovation, and advocate for marginalized global communities in the industry.
  • Provide coaching on the topic of ID&E to leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years’ experience working in an HR or business function
  • 4+ years program management experience specifically in Inclusion, Diversity, &Equity (ID&E)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work exp
  • 5+ years change management experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of ID&E principles
  • Demonstrated experience building and executing successful programs
  • Experience leading large scale change management initiatives
  • Business acumen, analytical skills, reliability and sound judgment
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and lead strategic priorities through to results
  • Proven ability to think strategically and work across multiple territories, entities and lines of business
  • Demonstrated program management experience
  • Has demonstrated comfort and confidence in dealing with ambiguity and leading through change
  • Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills
  • Meets/Exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/Exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage high-volume workload and complex priorities
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Action oriented, superior attention to detail, strong organizational
