Job summary
Amazon Devices – the team behind the best-selling Amazon Echo, Kindle e-reader, Fire tablet, and Fire TV – is currently seeking a smart, highly-motivated, results-oriented Senior Online Product Marketing Manager to focus on launching new products and features and improving the online customer journeys for Fire tablets. As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, Go-to-market of the Fire tablet Online Experience team, you will manage launches for new products and features, including the online experience launch strategy, post-launch testing and optimization, and guiding those projects to completion. You will work in a highly collaborative environment with partners like the sales, product management, and creative teams touching multiple parts of the customer journey online. To achieve your goals, you will become a subject matter expert on our products and author team communications to key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate must be able to maintain the highest bar for customer experience, manage complex projects effectively, think creatively and strategically, and earn trust with stakeholder partners. They will have a passion for diving into data to uncover actionable insights, deep experience in consumer product marketing and merchandising, and demonstrated ability to bring product marketing strategies to customers. They will be equally comfortable generating innovative ideas for growth as well as ensuring tactical level details are executed. The ability to manage multiple milestones and shifting requirements in a fluid, fast-moving environmentwhile keeping senior stakeholders updated on your progressis critical to success in this position. The ideal candidate will embody and inspire a positive, high-energy, results-oriented culture in the team, creating a measurable impact across Amazon and the wider industry landscape.

Key job responsibilities

  • Planning and managing project roadmap for projects focused on existing and new products.
  • Writing strategy documents about existing and new products and presenting to leadership.
  • Managing the online experience go-to-market playbook, strategy, and execution for new products and features; including project managing team members supporting launches.
  • Building the testing roadmap, incorporating feedback and ideas from stakeholders, executing the tests, and scaling results to improve the business.
  • Building campaigns and executing online experience improvements when needed.
  • Creative asset development and direction (in partnership with a dedicated design team).
  • Editing and publishing content via CMS (familiarity with HTML and XML nice-to-have).
  • Excellent writing and copyediting skills
  • Designing and scaling process improvements across the Devices team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an associated discipline
  • 8+ years of digital marketing or project management experience
  • Experience building and executing marketing plans
  • Experience analyzing marketing campaigns & traffic patterns to determine if they are meeting business objectives
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS)
  • Experience using MS Office and SharePoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with HTML and XML
  • Experience with product go-to-market processes
  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree
  • Proven ability to create customer-facing content that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored to an online audience
  • Demonstrated experience building and executing successful marketing plans that are creative, hypothesis-driven, and highly analytical
  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
  • Proficiency with analytics tools and web traffic reporting
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects with design, engineering, and/or analytics
  • Experience with A/B or multivariate testing
  • Proven ability to deliver results and prioritize tasks in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
  • Excellent documentation and workflow management
  • Ability to conceptualize, scope, and execute projects to strict deadlines
  • Confident, self-motivated individual with strong, demonstrable bias for action
