As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) you will join the Classified Cyber Security Team supporting Special Access Programs (SAPs) to ensure classified information systems meet cybersecurity requirements and government directives.
Interpret the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) in determining technical Information Assurance (IA) requirements and ensure proper security implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Develop system documentation for information system authorization, security management, and continuous monitoring of both networked and standalone classified systems.
Daily activities include performing system auditing, vulnerability risk assessments, Assured File Transfers, hardware/software configuration management, data integrity containments, and investigations on IA related security violation/incidents.
Perform hardware/software configuration management, data integrity containments and investigations on IA related security events.
Provide cybersecurity education and training for all system users on appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
Possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance with an investigation in the last 6 years and access eligibility for Special Access Programs.
Subject to routine government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information throughout their employment as required by the job.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
A level 2 employee Typically has 2 – 5 years of professional experience.

This position is in Palmdale, CA Discover Palmdale.
DoD 8570 approved baseline certification for IAM Level I (ie CompTIA Security+, CAP, GSLC, etc.)
Experience with Windows Operating Systems and Windows Domain infrastructure (i.e., Windows Server 2016, Windows 10, Group Policy Objects, Active Directory, etc.)
Experience in at least one of the following: system administration, information assurance, and/or cyber security
Experience as an ISSO implementing or managing cyber security requirements on classified systems under JSIG, NISPOM, ICD 503, and/or CNSSI 1253.
The right candidate will be a creative team player, be highly organized with strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong understanding and previous implementation of STIG Viewer, SCAP, SPLUNK, Nessus, and ACAS
Experience providing technical security expertise and oversight for complex classified networked environments in collaboration with customers, Information Technology (IT) Department and other functional support departments.
