The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). One of the program’s primary operating locations is Vandenberg AFB, CA. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.

Working under general guidelines, complete tasks central to the functions and responsibility of the organization; prioritize and follow-up on deadline commitments.

Utilizing multiple computer systems/software, type proposals, reports, test analysis and similar program-related technical documents; prepare statistical data, view foils, graphs and/or other materials to assist in accomplishing organizational objectives. Proofread all documents produced.

Provide responses to detailed questions, from other organizations or outside the company, regarding the functioning of the organization. Determine the appropriateness of requests and the amount of information or data necessary to respond. If appropriate, furnish requesters with desired information.

Assist contract/subcontract administrators, engineering personnel and management by performing varied specialized clerical duties associated with administration of contracts, such as: compile, maintain and report contract status information.

Maintain records and/or data central to the department.

May provide training or direction to other clerical employees.

May perform duties as the department secretary. Compose basic, draft correspondence for review; maintain department personnel and attendance records; coordinate and schedule meetings; make travel arrangements; distribute departmental and Company literature and information.

Establish a list of assigned duties and related information for reference purposes in incumbent’s absence.

Basic Qualifications:
Complete knowledge of the detailed clerical functions of the organization.

Thorough knowledge of applicable policies and procedures. Ability to work from limited direction, demonstrating initiative and the capacity to work independently from supervision.

Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database software packages necessary to perform the duties described above.

Knowledge of systems necessary to perform the administrative duties described above that are covered over several work groups.

Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Must be a United States Citizen.
