The Chief Operations Officer directs and coordinates the operational activities of the organization. The COO will lead and mentor a management team to deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make achieving organizational goals possible. The COO ensures that the organization has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures and people systems in place to support the business and its future.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic and operational leadership of the clinical operations function
  • Builds and manages a clinical operations team who ensure clinics are compliant and meet all regulations and quality standards
  • Provides leadership and mentoring to management staff in establishing department objectives related to staffing, policies and procedures
  • Develops and governs the annual budget for the clinic operations area and implements plans to achieve budgetary goals
  • Builds a working relationship with practice and physician management
  • Provides operational effectiveness reporting and develops strategies for improvement at the practice level when necessary
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of a positive team-focused company culture

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience with increasing management responsibility within clinic operations
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with P&L and budget and making business decisions based on financial reports
  • Experience with medical cost management, HEDIS quality metrics
  • Experience with creating policies and implementing efficient operational processes
  • Solid ability to analyze operations working with senior leadership on operational efficiencies
  • Ability to travel to clinics in IN and OH
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • RN, MSN, Masters Healthcare Administration
  • Experience managing remote staff, preferably leadership level
