What you’ll achieve
Owns and leads the overall Digital Cities solution/platform architecture thought leadership and Point of view for Dell Technologies. Collaborates with City stakeholders, City IT departments, partners, vendors, and members of the community to develop a Digital Cities strategy. Acts as a key thought leader for the Digital Cities business. Plays the role of an evangelist, representing Dell Technologies’ point of view on Digital Cities at the relevant external forums and driving DT’s brand visibility within the Digital Cities ecosystem.
Engages with customers during the (early) design phase and sells DT’s Digital Cities differentiated architectural vision and point of view. Translates the understanding of the customer and market requirements into Digital Cities solution development team. Collaborates across the BU’s, SABs, ISVs & SIs to build a highly differentiated and competitive solution offering. Leads and manages solution and enterprise architects’ team to engage in deals requiring RFI/RFP support of provision of thought leadership to key customers and partners.
Finally, the CTO develops relationships and conducts outreach with the community by fostering partnerships, stakeholder engagement, internally and externally, establishes broad support for initiatives, and identifies opportunities for collaboration.
You will:
Drive DT’s Architecture leadership in Digital Cities
- Lead and manage architecture team and provide Digital Cities solution/platform architecture thought leadership and Point of view for Dell Technologies.
- Represent DT at the various external and internal forums, evangelize DT’s Digital Cities architectural point of view and Collaborate closely with the solution development team as well as the relevant internal BU’s and SABs to translate the customer/market requirements into platform/architecture design and drive differentiation
- Responsible for the design and development of the technical material and collateral (e.g. white papers, product sheets) as well as the customer PoC/EBC centers
Drive Technical wins for strategic Digital Cities opportunities
- Collaborate closely with the global Business Development, Pre-Sales & GTM teams to identify and develop early leads for strategic Digital Cities opportunities for DT
- Engage with customers on large/strategic projects and drive a technical win for DT’s Digital Cities architecture/platform/solution. Support the channel & alliances team to technical enablement of partners (SI’s, ISVs, OEM’s)

Essential Requirements
- Prior Digital Cities experience. A strong reputation as a Digital Cities thought leader/influencer and a network with the Digital Cities ecosystem would be a clear advantage
- Prior experience as an enterprise architect/ solution architect with a good understanding of the Digital Cities stack. Any prior experience with Dell Technologies’ product stack would be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated success in large National level Digital Cities architecture. Experience working with Smart City technologies and data, Internet of Things technologies, and user-centered design approaches.
- Demonstrated success in driving/influencing technical wins with customers.
- The candidate shall be familiar with working at C-Level, Board Level Government leaders as a key evangelist and influencer. Able to discuss architecture standards such as TOGAF and NIST
Desirable Requirements
- Proven effective team leadership and interpersonal skills is essential. PMP certification will be beneficial.
- Educational qualification in Computer Science or a related field, typically requires 20+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Master’s degree
