About Anti-Financial Crime (AFC)

The DWS AFC team provides advisory support to all the DWS Americas businesses, Traditional Investments and Alternative Investments, on all financial crime topics which may arise. The team will leverage their own knowledge and work with the global AFC subject matter experts such as the DWS Sanctions Office and DWS Anti-Fraud, Bribery and Corruption teams.

The Anti-Financial Crime & Compliance Officer will work within the AFC Americas team and will have a focus supporting the Alternative investments in the region. These businesses include Real Estate investments and Infrastructure Debt, and the role will work with the business to address any AFC issues related to the unlisted investments and clients.

As well as advisory to the business, DWS Anti-Financial Crime & Compliance Officer will also be involved in other key controls such as the annual AFC Risk Type Assessment, Regulatory filings, Regulatory change projects and advising on the policy & procedure framework.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Working within and supporting the DWS Americas AFC team
  • Advising the Alternative Investment business on all AFC matters related to their business
  • Assist in delivering regional and global AFC projects such as the Global Risk Assessment.
  • Represent AFC at any relevant forums with the business or parent company AFC governance framework.

Your Skills & Experience:

  • General knowledge of AFC Risk types; AML, Sanctions & Anti-Fraud, Bribery & Corruption
  • Experience working with and advising on Alternative Investments (Real Estate and Infrastructure Debt particularly desirable)
  • Knowledge of Investment management businesses (Mutual Funds, Alternative funds and Separately Managed accounts)
  • CAMS or other relevant qualification advantageous but not essential
