Overview

Corporate Treasury Middle Office (CTMO) is a highly specialized buy side team in the Corporate Treasury LOB and is responsible for providing direct support to the US Portfolio Management Group (PMG) and Funding desks. In addition to front end trade support CTMO is an SME in business controls and trading infrastructure who drives strategic change through functional process improvements and automation by partnering with Technology Developers, Back Office, Finance, Compliance, Risk teams and stakeholders across the Bank.

A strong candidate will become part of the US CTMO team to strengthen the end-to-end Corporate Treasury trading infrastructure and control models to provide direct support to the Front Office desks who are responsible for managing the Banks core investment portfolio and funding activities.

The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Trade support to the Front Office teams.
  • Trade confirmations with counterparties directly or through automated services such as OASYS, ALERT, CTM, EPN.
  • End-to-end trade, position and static data reconciliations and break reporting/resolution.
  • Monitor and analyze corporate actions impacting the investment portfolio.
  • Book internal swaps, securities collateral pledges, corporate actions and position transfers.
  • Sourcing, leading, testing and completing major projects.
  • Enhancing Front Office order management systems such as BlackRock Aladdin, MarkitWire, SUMMIT, Wall Street Systems, Bloomberg and TradeWeb.
  • Adhoc analysis and response to inquiries related to Corporate Treasury 1st line of defense.
  • Perform UAT testing, trade queries, security setups and build reports.
  • Implement industry leading change such as LIBOR transition and adapt to the ever changing global regulatory environment.
  • Documenting key processes and improving controls as it relates to audit and policy mandates.
  • Manage key relationships with third party vendors.

The candidate must have and be able to:

  • Strong Fixed Income product knowledge.
  • Control and risk management mindset.
  • Experience supporting or working closely with traders or come from a trading background.
  • Order Management System (Trading Platform) experience ideally with Aladdin and Bloomberg.
  • Work independently in a fast paced environment and quickly learn/adapt.
  • Understanding of trade flow and lifecycle management experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and modeling skills.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.

Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in financial investments preferred. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.

  • Project management.
  • Trade support.
  • Corporate Actions.
  • Reconciliations.
  • Buy side or sell side Middle/Back office.
  • Aladdin and Bloomberg trading systems.
  • Familiarity with structured products (i.e. MBS, CMBS, RMBS, CLO).
  • Familiarity with Interest Rate Derivative swap and Repo products.
  • SQL, VBA or programming skills desired.
