Job Summary:

Liberty Mutual Insurance has an excellent opportunity for a Legal Secretary to provide secretarial support of a legal nature for the Regional General Attorney, and the Regional Operations Manager. The candidate will maintain a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the Region and works collaboratively with the Legal offices in the Region and all internal Legal Department units.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and assembles materials, documents, and exhibits for meetings including electronic media and technology used within the office and court system.
  • Displays high degree of professionalism in order to maintain confidential information, deal with people tactfully, and help establish strong relationships and positive communication.
  • Handle a broad number of administrative duties including: managing an active calendar including proactively managing schedule conflicts, delays or cancellations; completing expense reports;
  • Follows up on information/data from the offices in the Region and prepares spreadsheets with the responses;
  • Arrange travel plans and itineraries; create agendas and compile documents for meetings. Coordinate and manage quarterly meetings, townhalls, off-sites and events.
  • Oversee Region SharePoint site

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in administrative assistance/secretarial science or equivalent training required, with a minimum of 1-2 years of administrative assistant/secretarial experience. Prior experience in a legal environment strongly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills to communicate effectively with policyholders, courts, attorneys and judges.
  • Solid ability to edit and proofread legal documents. Displays solid MS-Office skills.
  • Prior experience with legal software systems preferred and other electronic media systems. Liberty Mutual’s legal offices are paperless
