What we do:

As part of Middle Office Reconciliation team, we maintain Investment book of Records

  • Comprehensive asset manager view of fund
  • Support the Investment Process-Front-office decision making
  • Real-time P&L
  • Intra-day cash availability
  • Compliance monitoring
  • Includes forecasts
  • Performance measurement and analysis of portfolio

The successful candidate will:

Independently provide accounting and trading support activities for funds of higher complexity. Perform reviews of more complex documents processed from across the Bank to confirm compliance with established processes and procedures. Review work of more junior colleagues and provides technical assistance on complex matters.

Essential Functions – Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform complex functions supporting accounting, trading and client services activities including book-keeping and data review. Review high volume of documents to ensure processors followed established procedures and took on minimal risk. Leverage strong knowledge of processes of procedures to confirm findings. Review findings of more junior staff
  • Track fund data and trades. Maintain records of high complexity in accordance with department policies and procedures. Provide requested data to team members as necessary
  • Search for fail points in processes and provides error reports to clients in compliance with established service level agreements. Escalate external errors; correction of internal errors is at the discretion of the client
  • Independently review for exceptions and may provide guidance to more junior level team members. If exceptions are found, confirm that internal and client procedures were followed, processing was on time and in line with FCC regulations and no unnecessary steps were taken
  • Prepare system-generated reports or templates consisting of multiple or advanced data sets and conducts general data validation and reconciliation. Review work of junior team members

What we are looking for:

  • High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required; Bachelor’s degree a plus, mutual fund industry background preferred
  • 2-3 years of total work experience preferred; experience in accounting support or the mutual fund industry preferred
  • Excellent leadership skills, ability to lead dynamic team
  • Ability to quickly address issues – strong decision making
  • Strong Financial Services Technical Skills
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft packages particularly Excel
