Lead Technology Operations Analyst – Third Party Officer

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Technology Operations Analyst with the Technology Third Party Governance (TTPG) team currently has a great opportunity for individuals with experience in third party risk management. This role will work to refine the Technology Third Party program governance, strategy, and risk management capabilities. The role is responsible for multiple projects, including interfacing with audits and external regulators, managing business processes and controls, supporting and executing on third party modernization deliverables, providing monitoring and oversight of the Third Party Risk Management Program compliance activities within Wells Fargo Technology, providing subject matter expertise as it relates to program requirements, policy changes, or changes to Third Party Management methodology and tools, and escalating third party issues and concerns (e.g. oversight deficiencies, program concerns, and open risk items) as necessary.
This position involves oversight and execution of deliverables and requirements and requires the ability to manage and track those deliverables effectively. It also includes regular interaction with many levels of the organization and requires the highest level of customer service and professionalism at all times. This position requires deep knowledge and understanding of third party business processes and controls to determine actual or perceived gaps, and an understanding of information security risk to appropriate challenge technology partners. This role will report to the Technology Third Party Governance Compliance, Controls, & Communication manager and will participate in the implementation of new tools, processes, and applications in support of technology third party risk.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with key stakeholders across technology to deliver on TTPG commitments to internal audit
    and external regulators
  • Provide evidence to refute control gaps/weaknesses as necessary
  • Lead executive reporting modernization, specifically with the Board-level third party reporting
  • Guide complex technology projects with broad impact for the business
  • Act as key participant in the plan development for Technology Operations
  • Analyze complex technical operations challenges which require in-depth evaluation
  • Conduct research and create reports and presentations on findings
  • Lead the development of process and operational improvements
  • Be the liaison with the onshore team and ensure communication and reporting of delivery from the offshore team
  • Ensure quality and security of the solutions and address remediation’s as needed
  • Champion continuous improvement, including devising new strategies and new opportunities
  • Set performance standards for the team and ensure operations achieve or exceed performance metrics
  • Direct the daily Risk and Control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures, and work standards to ensure success; re-engineering and driving continual service improvement
  • Make decisions based on the understanding of the requirements that influence projects
  • Lead teams to meet deadlines and drive new initiatives
  • Review, approve, and implement recommended changes to plans
  • Collaborate and consult with employees to resolve initiatives and achieve technology directives
  • Act as a mentor for individuals

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Technology Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of third party risk management experience
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor, (CISA) Certification in Control
    Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (CISSP) or other
    risk management discipline certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level
    leaders
  • Ability to generate, review, edit, and distribute executive level reports
  • Corporate finance experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Wells Fargo tools (e.g. sparc, TRIMS, policyworks, SHRP)
  • Prior experience with creating and maintaining compliance or risk program assessments,
    validations, or internal risk assessments
  • Experience as a Third Party Manager or Third Party Officer

Pay Range listed is for New York City.

Pay Range

$84,000.00 – $149,400.00 Annual
