About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Credit Risk Officer to support Transaction Authorizations for the Credit Card portfolio.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross-functional with broad impact and act as key participant in driving the company credit culture, desire, and business performance for Credit Risk
  • Review and analyze complex Authorization, Reissue and Cash Line strategies, programs and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite and culture
  • Receive direction from leaders
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal and external customers
  • Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of SAS programming experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience using SAS E-miner, Angoss, Decision Tree tools or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
  • Experience performing Credit Card Authorization/Reissue/Cash Line data validations for reporting activities and analytical purposes
  • Employ any suitable approach for defining, executing, monitoring, and reporting data quality rules and outcomes.
  • Streamline the existing reporting approaches and create a single dashboard for data quality for all regulatory submissions
  • Review and analyze current strategies, programs, and policies and help develop new processes to improve risk performance and customer experience at Point of Sale.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven experience in building partnerships, collaborating, and influencing at senior levels and across businesses and functions to execute desired results
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to set goals, manage processes, lead and deliver multiple efforts simultaneously, meet or exceed deadlines, and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
  • Decision and execution-oriented self-starter able to recognize opportunities for improvement and act on them and solve problems to drive business results
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to take complex subject matter and present it in an easily digestible manner geared toward the audience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of comfort with rapid change and ambiguity
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting reports and preparing presentations, management reporting, and statistical analysis
  • Ability to optimize/automate and create repeatable/scalable operating and reporting processes with data integrity
